_UNEDITED_

Mandie stuck her face with a book as Feli takes a seat next to her. Mandie has the instinct to scoot away, her face still inside the book and Feli is hurt.

She's really doing this? she asked herself and feels guilty, for not doing anything, for not helping her with that problem, what did she do? She just stood there, idiotically.

"Hey Mandie." Feli forced a smile.

No response.

"Um, Mandie, I'm going to the mall later, want to come?" She asked.

No response.

Feli sighs and gives up, tears welled up her brown/blue eyes, quickly wiping it away and waiting for the teacher.

She won't do it, she can't even let them win. Even if Mandie would ignore her she will keep close to her.

No matter what.

She was stil going to that party,

Mandie or No Mandie.

That's when she realized, she didn't need Mandie. She can go to the party and still have fun, even without Mandie.

But how?

As class went by Mandie would either talk to the person on her left side or just pretend she can't hear Feli.

The entire school day was finally over and Mandie just cannot wait to collapse on her bed and cry about her horrible life she has in her hands.

"Hey Mandie!" as Feli's voice rings through Mandie's ears which was a good reason to walk faster, and faster but of course, Feli being Feli caught up.

Feli dropped a strong hand on Mandie's shoulder and flips her around so she is facing her.

"I have to go, bye Feli." Mandie said and ran when Feli was catching her breath.

'Run Mandie, run!' a voice insde her said which made her run faster until she couldn't breath.

She was now on a gray sidewalk that lead to her house. Just a few more blocks then she would be home. Home sweet home.

Where her mother would be in the kitchen, baking cookies or cake or brownies or cupcakes. Mandie's mom, Margot, is actually a chef, and tends to practice everyday which means there would be free sweets every now and then that would definetely lighten up this horrible day for Mandie.

Mandie walks up her porch, taking out keys from her jean pocket and opening the door in a swift movement.

She walks in, the familiar smell of brownies linger her senses as she came slouching to the kitchen where her mother was taking out a nice batch of chocolate brownies.

"Hey mom." Mandie grumbled sitting on a stool and leaning on the breakfast  counter as her mom places a plate of brownies in front of her and Mandie takes it reluctantly. The familiar taste of chocolatey goodness as Mandie takes a bite.

"Is everything okay hon'?" Her Mom, Margot Rory or Mrs. Rory, asked, slipping the mittens from her hands and leaning against the counter beside the oven, and crossing her arms.

"No mom. Nothing's okay." Mandie states sadly, taking another monstre bit of her brownie.

"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked with concern.

"Yes." Mandie sighed, realizing she needs some motherly advice.

"That's great dear, why don't you get to your room, I'll be up in a minute, just going to clean up a bit here." Her mother replied. Mandie nodded and slipped out the red stoold and climbed up the wooden stairs and to her lavender colored and scented room.
