Gwendolyn's POV
I duck out of the way as the paramedics carry out the bleeding girl. I peek back in to see Aidan Moordenaar and Brandon Milford staring in shock at the pool of blood left by the girl who ripped metal from her tongue. Aidan balls his hands into fists and stomps angrily out of the nurses office down the hall opposite of where I was hiding. I slither from my hiding spot and follow Aidan. I tug in the sleeve of his blue blazer and step back.
"Huh?" Aidan turns around. The second he recognizes my face, His expression twists into a dark scowl. "What do you want?!" He barks angrily.
I chuckle and slid my hands into the pocket of my white hoodie. A wicked smile creeps up onto my face. Of course he can't see it due to the gas mask covering my face.
Maybe I should explain the hoodie and gas mask. Since this is a school with uniformed students.
Our school has a uniform but, you have the option to not wear it. I know, I know. That's extremely stupid, but our school is rich enough to afford that and they don't care. They said if they get enough students to not wear it they'll eventually quit putting out the uniforms but that's already happened sorta and they didn't get rid of the uniforms. So, mostly the uniform deal is just them saying "fuck it wear whatever you want."
"I hear you got a new pet."
"Rose? Kinda. Why?"
"My next job evolves a jack ass who likes pretty little things. Not only does he like their bodies, but he cares for their safety as well. If he says no I'll scare him, put a gun to her head threaten him with her life. Blah blah blah. You know the drill."
"Alright, but what's my end of the deal?"
"A quarter of the profits and the honer to kill bystanders who witness and his lackeys if they step outta line."
"Deal." He says almost immediately.
"Nice." I said with a sly grin. "Meet me tonight and we'll discuss plans for the job." I say walking in the other direction.
"Wait." I hear from behind me.
I turn my head. "Hm?"
"Could I spend the week at your house? Since we're doing this job?"
"Sure why not. But you made plans. You'll have to cancel."
"That's fine. I can cancel."
I smile again.
"I'll see you tonight." I say waving my hand as I walk the opposite way from the murderous boy called Aidan Moordenaar.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~TIME~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~SKIP~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I waited by the school gates, popping my gum and texting a friend. Well, business friend.
I see Aidan walk out of the school. I start out the gates keeping my eyes locked on my phone, not waiting for Aidan to catch up. Aidan stayed respectfully twenty feet behind me. I turned down an ally. I see Aidan stop at the entrance. A student from our school passes. Aidan watches him leave and then enters the ally way.
"Glad you know how this works." I say, taking one last glance at my phone before shoving it deep inside my jeans pocket.
"Whadda mean? The "don't make it obvious you're working together"? Well duh." Aidan says shoving his hands in his pockets.
I snicker. "Glad you know it."
"Well of course. I'm a murderer. Why wouldn't I know it?"
"I don't know. I was just making sure and gladly I didn't have to teach you."
