I walk along the streets of reality with an angel in my arms. My angel was so still. I kissed her in the forehead and then quickened my pace to the convenience store. A car passed by, "Lunatic!" he yelled but I was fine, as long my angel wasn't hurt.... I will be fine. I walk under the heat of the sun, irritation never occurred to me since my angel was sleeping. . . . . the hunger will soon pass, I say, It'll be all over soon, my dear, I say to her over and over again.

I reached the store, thank God. I bought a pack of noodles since it was all that I can afford. We went home, a feeling of victory pounded in my chest. I touch my heart and whisper to myself, "My child is safe and sound now " but then, a memory occurred to me. A memory obscured from me by a thick mist for the sake of my long lost sanity. I look up to the stars and saw the moon crying for me. Why was the moon crying for me? Suddenly, a familiar melody played in my head. A sad tune of eeriness crept up my spine.

"Lunatic"...it rang in my head over and over again. I look at my angel and touch her nose. She was cold. I cover her with a blanket.

"Don't you fret, my dear. Wait for your sister" I say

"I told her to run away before the men in white take her away." I look at the moon as I relive the memories of my older daughter.

"I'll be waiting here for you, my dear". I look back at my angel again and I saw her beautiful glassy eyes that mirror the reality of life , lips that never open to speak the horror of life and a body that never moves to run away from reality.

Men in white suddenly appeared at the doorstep, I took my angel in my arms and shielded her. They held my arms and pulled me. One took my angel and dropped her to the ground. "My angel!" Tears rolled down my cheeks. I screamed and struggled from their clutches but they won't let me. "Let me put my angel to bed!" I scream but, as if they never heard me, they pulled me farther and farther away from my angel.

I bite the arm of one and run to my baby but the other one grabbed my waist "Let go of the doll, ma'am!" he yelled at me, with pure anger; no hint of pity in his voice.

"She is not a doll, she's my Isla! I gave birth to her 5 months ago!" I cried in protest and was pulled even farther away from my baby

"Run! Run! Run to somewhere no one else can find! " I yell and yell until my baby was no longer in my line of sight.

Outside, my territory was flooded with eyes, eyes that were not sorry, eyes that judge and eyes that pierce my very soul.

"Where are your souls?!" I scream and scream at the eyes. The eyes laughed at me. But one particular pair of innocent eyes came to me

"I will take care of your daughter."

"Thank you, child " I smile as a teardrop fell from my eyes. I went to brush my hand against his face and bless his soul but he was pulled back into the crowd by his angry mother. I watch in the distance as she yelled at his son, " She is a crazy woman! She is dangerous! She will kill you if you get too near."

Still, I look up to the moon, the world still has hope. I rejected the urge to fight back and calmed myself down.

I was put in a van where the men in white spawn. I wanted to scream but I couldn't, instead, I look back at the memory of my angel and I was reminded of her beautiful, glassy eyes that only mirror the reality of life and a permanent smile that smiles- that was the smile that still binds my soul to my flesh.

I calmed myself and looked out the window to see an old friend of mine "Moon, do not follow me. Please, if you do not mind, go back and guide my Isla to paradise and tell her I will be back." I sit back and remember that smile. That beautiful smile that never breaks to speak the horror of life. I frown as I remember my older daughter, I look at the man in white beside me.

" Where is my other daughter?" I ask him with a stern expression on my face. He sighed and pointed at the stars

" See the stars? She's already up there."

" Thank you." I smile, both my angels are now safe and sound.
