Erens P.O.V
Captain Levi has always been a tough captain, he is always having us work to exceed the best of our abilities having us pass our limits. Ever since I joined the Survey Corps he had been tough, improving us, and teaching us new ways to fight, and I have always admired that about him. But the problem is that he. Always so secluded, he will teach us, yell at us, and fight with us but outside of work he doesn't do as much to ask us how our day had been going... We usually ignore that fact and move on, because, well, he 'is our boss, not our friend' as Erwin would put it. But for some time now he had been acting... Different like more secluded than usual. Less motivated and usually you can't tell anything not even an expression from his face, but I could tell. I can see.
At lunch
As usual I sat at my table inside with my friends Armin, Sasha, Mikasa, and Connie. The higher ranks, including trainers commanders, etc... sit to eat in another room like Erwin, Hanji and Levi. But roomers go around that he eats behind the building alone nowadays. I was zoning out thinking about Levi when I was snapped back into reality. "W-what?" I ask to see everyone starring at me. "I was asking if you were ok." Says Mikasa. "O-oh I'm uh.. Fine." "You know, you've been doing this a lot lately..." Connie insists. "Doing what?" "Zoning out." He says. "Oh sorry I just uh... Am tired that's all. Heh!" I a sure them. They soon go back to there conversation till lunch is over. We go back to training.
After a few sparing sessions with Jean, which I absolutely kicked his ass at (which makes me a happier person) I notice Levi is starring at me. I blush and look back with a clueless expression on my face. When he notices look of shock and embarrassment go across his face and he blushes madly and turns away. 'I wonder what is up with him lately...' I think to myse lf I just shrug it off. For the next few days I had been catching him staring at me or slipping up some way and others started noticing as well and it soon became the next big thing everyone is gossiping about. The next weird thing was that on those really hot days and I mean 90's to over 100 degrees (Fahrenheit obviously) when we are actually aloud to take off our uniform jackets he, the captain, still wears them, I mean I know he likes his job but when its like 109° degrees you have to draw a line in the sand.
Even though he was slipping a bit, its no doubt we weren't still scared shitless and intimidated by him. So when he came into the lunch room it defiantly got silent. And when he called my name I was defiantly got scared.
