Chapter 3

Mia's POV

I woke up early the next morning to get ready for work then waited for the nanny. I work at a research plant so I have to get there early to start work.

"Good morning Mrs. Simmons." Rosa, the nanny spoke unlocking my door. Ever since Daniel and I had Ava, she always calls me by his last name. I never bothered to say something.

"Good morning, Ava is still sleeping."

"Ok, have a nice day Mrs. Simmons." She smiled, I grabbed a cup of coffee,  my purse, and left for work.

"Good morning girly" Chantal, my best friend, spoke handing me a clipboard. She comes later in the day so I was already there and had been working for an hour or so.

"Good morning." I spoke taking a sip.

"How was your weekend?" She asked walking behind me to my office.

"It was good, Daniel spent the weekend with Ava at his place, so I got to do some shopping."

"Aw, do you miss Diggy?" she asked.

"I see him all the time."

"But don't you miss when he use to come up here with Ava? To like surprise you and stuff." she asked.

"He's at work and Ava is with the nanny, he can't do that anymore." I replied turning on my computer.

"No Mia, he's here." she spoke pointing down the hall. I got up from my desk to check the front desk. She was right, Daniel was at the front with Ava.

"What the hell?" I spoke running up to him.

"Hey Mia." He smiled.

"Aye mama." Ava waved.

"Hey pretty girl. Daniel what are you doing here?" I asked.

"The nanny called me saying that A was acting up so I went to check on her."

"Ok and?"

"She was acting very clingy and whiny, so I told Rosa to take the day off and I kept little Ava." he smiled kissing her cheek.

"Daniel, why did you do that? She is suppose to be with the nanny." I sighed.

"Ava wanted to hang with her daddy, I only get her for two days, why not two and a half days?" he spoke.

I sighed in remission "Ok, but why did you come here? To tell me?"

"No, I came here to take you lunch." He smiled and the office awed. By the time we got to that point of the conversation the whole floor was full of my coworkers, smiling and taking pictures.

"Come in my office." I spoke walking down the hall, he followed.

"You doing big things Mia! Got your own office and shit" he clapped.

"Daniel it's 11:15, my lunch isn't until 12." I replied closing my door.

"Well, I can wait." he smiled sitting in a chair.

"Gosh, you're really trying hard aren't you?" I mumbled, he turned around after he sat Ava down on the floor with a toy.

"Yes Mia, I'm trying hard to get us back to the way we were." He spoke walking up to me, I rolled my eyes.

"I'm not giving up on us Mia." he spoke pulling me in by my waist. Despite all the bullshit Daniel puts me through, he was a sweet guy and if he wanted to try, the least I could do was give him a shot.

"Where are we going to for lunch?" I asked changing the subject. He smiled and pecked my lips. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck. He picked me up and placed me on my desk.

"I like this." He spoke kissing me again. My hands traced his body down to his waist line. He tugged on my skirt as I started to loosen his belt.

"Hey Mia, do you want me to print these repor-" Chantal spoke opening my door. I jumped and pushed Daniel away.

"Oh my, uhh I'll just leave." She responded closing it back. I pushed Daniel away and fixed my skirt.

"Lets go eat." I spoke getting off from the desk.
