I felt my eyes widen in shock as Sara screeched, "I TAG IN MADDY AND KEANU!" I rolled to my left as Barda charged at me. I threw my feet up, then slammed them down, using my momentum to bring me to my feet. Sara could have given me a warning, couldn't she?

I saw Kathryn give me a thumbs up and yell, "You've got this, Mads!"

Charlie hopped up on his chair and started whooping, which inspired everyone in the class to do the same.

I ducked to avoid a swipe from Barda's spear, and noticed Keanu sneaking up behind him. I wanted to give him time to do whatever it was that he was planing, so I did what I do best: I began to be sassy.

"You know we've never been formally trained before," I taunted before rolling to my left. "Shouldn't you be able to beat a bunch of teenagers?" I managed to burn his arm with a small spurt of fire. "Maybe you should clean your glasses because I feel like you should have seen that coming." I jumped over his spear, but miscalculated my landing and fell on my butt. And yes that was more embarrassing then it sounded.

Lucky for me Keanu used my distraction to land an attack on Barda's back, causing him to fall. Scrambling up, I grabbed Keanu's arm and dragged him towards the crowd of students. I weaved my way around everyone until I could tap Amber and Adam on the shoulders.

"You're it," I panted as I collapsed to the ground. Keanu sat next to me and handed my a pack of gummy snacks he pulled from his pocket. I wasn't going to question him because he was offering me food. I gladly accepted and ate the childish food as I watched Amber and Adam fight Barda.

"Roll left!" I yelled as Barda's spear morphed into a sword again. Amber did as I suggested and avoided his attack.

"Thanks, Maddy!" I nodded as she jumped over his sword and Adam jumped onto Barda's back. He rode him for a minute until Barda threw himself onto  his back and rolled to his feet, leaving Adam panting for air.

"Oh," Sara said and winced. Griffin nodded, "Jeez that had to hurt."

"MADI, GINGER, YOU'RE IN," Amber yelled as she dragged Adam to his feet and got him out of the way. Madi let out a squeak as Barda turned on her, and ran into the crowd, disappearing. Ginger ran at Barda, but he used her momentum to flip her into her back. I saw Madi appear behind Barda, but she ran off again, but she was holding something this time. Ginger got up, leapt to her right, and ducked as an arrow grazed Barda's arm. I saw Madi had a bow and a quiver full of arrows, but Barda was short a weapon.

"GO SMALL ONE!" Sara yelled as Madi fired another arrow. Barda caught this one and charged at Madi who ducked under his fist and ran towards us, Ginger ran after her and tapped Kathryn.

"Go, Kathryn and Charlie!" Madi cheered as she slipped to the ground. She ducked down as Barda galumphed over her.

Charlie immediately threw Kathryn into the air, allowing her to send a spinning kick into Barda's head. Barda grabbed Charlie's foot after he attempted a kick and threw him to the ground. Kathryn jumped to the side to avoid being hit by her partner. She pulled him to his feet, and he sent a kick at Barda's face as she kicked his knee. Barda got up slowly, and looked about ready to strangle everyone.

"Everyone in!" I yelled as I ran into the fray.

Madi popped up right in front of Barda and screamed, "HOMICIDE!" Barda jerked back in surprise. Ginger took the opportunity to use a little magic. She summoned a ball of wind and slammed it into Barda's back.

He flew forward from the force of the blow. His body was propelled through the lines of chairs. Other students shrieked and dove out of the way. Sara and Griffin stood their ground.

A split second before Barda collided with them, they leaped up and in perfect sync did a front flip. Both extended one leg where a faint, rounded shape formed underneath and struck down on Barda's head and back with shattering force. The energy fields exploded in purple and white, sending Barda deeper into the dirt. Griffin grabbed Sara's arm and helped her roll forward and off Barda's back.

"HOW THE CRAP DID I DO THAT?!" Sara yelled in confusion. Griffin laughed and pulled her away.

Suddenly Barda reared up and shifted his spear into a sword again. Ginger shot down from the sky (when did she even get up there?) and just missed being sliced. She tripped on her landing and face planted.

But before Barda could do anything Jared rammed into him again. With a curse Barda fell sideways and almost recovered. Adhya had other ideas, she smacked him in the face with a flying rock.

Barda turned the fall into a roll and shifted back into the spear. The took a huge swipe that nearly took Keanu and I out. I dropped like the bass and rolled out of there.

I bolted to grab Kathryn's and Adhya's hands. "Cover us, guys!" Adhya grabbed Madi's hand, Madi grabbed Sara's, Sara grabbed Amber's, and Amber completed the circle by grabbing Kathryn's hand. We closed our eyes, and I felt us slowly lift off the ground. I was vaguely aware of Keanu standing behind me, and I assumed the others were there as well. I could feel our energy directing itself towards Barda, and allowed a small smile to spread across my face. Our eyes all shot open as a colorful light hit Barda in the stomach, and our partners ran over to him. Griffin took his bow, Adam took his arrows, and Charlie grabbed his sword. We had him surrounded, and he could tell there was no getting out.

"I think this means we win," Keanu said with a smirk.

"Better luck next time," Sara teased as we all walked away, glad to have won.

A/N: Hello again! I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. I'm sorry I'm not the best at writing fight scenes with large groups of people, but I'm getting there. :D *high-fives for all*
