Holding Light (On Hold)

Chapter 2

Deistra, Mera and Barran started walking to the castle to start a game of Hunting when Barran triped hard over a deep crack on the ground dropping the purple stone. Mera and Deistra started laughing at Barran but stopped when they saw that the stone was glowing.

Mera froze like a statue staring at the stone when Deistra walked to it and picked it up. The stone wasn't heavy but it sent a sharp pain through her hands causing her to to drop it again and the stone let out a big spreading ring around the countryside like a sound signal. Leaving Mera, Barran and Deistra staring at the stone. When the stone dropped it sent a purple aurorma through the children.

Deistra looked at her hands wondering what had just happened and started runnig to Jayquen the oldest man in Toranth he knew everything. Running as fast as she could she realized that her parents weren't in view of the castle sigtings anymore and that they were gone.

"Mera" she said turning around to her but Mera had already figured out. My eyes turned to the West Gate and I saw my parents being led out of chains right at the last moment.

"Mother, Father! I yelled but they were gone

It happened so fast

a split second and my world was turned upside down

"Mera, get a hold of yourself were going after them!" and Barran and Mera were racing after me

We got to the West Gate and got outside of it but they and there captures were gone and no sign of them like they disappeared.

All that was left was leaves fluttering through the air. And a breeze so chilling and cold that the we were all chilled to the bone. We went deeper and deper into the mysterious ring of forest outside Toranth but no one.

Soon we came upon a lady with whte hair and purple skin it seemed like. She looked old too about 82 or 83 but still young in a way.

"Hello children, I'm Anaseon" she said, but in my mind she said "Hello children, Im Death!" "Hello" I gulped I could feel Barran's warm, breath on my neck he was not afar from me, he was hiding behind me and so was Mera. "Have you seen any prisoners?" I said with confidence in my voice trying to show her that I wasn't afraid of her one bit but I was. "No, I havent seen anyone" said Anaseon "but I know that you have my stone" she said starting to turn into a ugly dragon like creature and she started screaming like a banshee "YOU DROPPED IT!" she yelled with her ruff, deep dragon like voice. "AND YOU WILL PAY BY FACING DEATH ITSELF BY ENTERING MY ARENA OF CURSES!!!!!!!!" she yelled. Me,Mera and Barran started running back towards the kingdom but we soon feel into a vortex of darkness.

Falling, falling and falling

That was all I rememberd falling into nothingness it seemed like a thousand years of falling

Then we crashed unto a soft, green lush meadow with violets, roses and trees it was so beautiful. But when I turned my head I saw a creatue with eight arms and a long tongue that was slicing through trees running towards us.

"Oh, snap!" I said.
