When I woke up for the second time I could sit up without falling but my head still hurt . I looked around the room and saw a closet a window, and a door. Other than the bed I was laying on there was nothing else in the room. I tried to stand and managed to stumble to the door after I fell a few times. I twisted the door knob and found it unlocked I peered out from the room I was in. A hallway led to another door that had a closed door and what looked like a bathroom. I looked the other way and saw part of a kitchen and a door leading outside, or at least I hoped it led outside since it had a window covered with a curtain on it. My feet began to move in the direction of the door but I stopped them remembering the window in my room. I walked quietly over to it and saw that I was on the ground floor if there even was a second floor to this building. Trying the window I found that it only opened a few inches only enough really for a cat to squeeze through with some difficulty. I sat on the bed because my head had begun to throb after a bit I began to fantasize about being a cat. I could sleep all day and no one would care and I would have soft fur that shone in the sun, my paws would be small and I could balance on almost anything. Suddenly my stomach lurched and the room begun to grow, I screamed but it got cut off half way through. The lurching stopped just as suddenly as it had started but the room stayed big. I looked down and saw four fuzzy paws where my legs and hands should have been .I yelped again but it came out as a short mew and I covered my mouth with a paw. My face felt fuzzy and odd under my paw and my brain finally kicked in and even though what it was telling me was impossible I really couldn't discredit it considering I was sitting on a bed with four paws and covered in fur. I was a cat and I wasn't about to just sit here and wait for myself to change back or to implode in on myself. Jumping off the bed, well more like falling off of it, I walked over to the window that was still open and bunched my muscles up and jumped. I almost didn't make it but my front paws landed on the window and I dug my claws into the wood, pulling myself up I sat there catching my breath until I heard footsteps running toward the door. I squeezed my head and front half under the window before the door flew opened and I saw my kidnapper/crush standing in the doorway looking at the bed I should have been on. His head snapped to the window and his eyes widened slightly. He lunged across the room faster than I thought possible but I managed to slip the rest of the way under the window and jump to the ground before he reached me.
I heard some cursing as I sprinted as best I could in the direction some houses I saw. When I reached them I kept running because I had started having fun in my new body but eventually I stopped when I realized that I had no clue where I was. I was on a street filled with people and tents. I had stumbled across a fair, I could smell food somewhere and when my stomach growled I decided to follow my nose to what I thought was fish. Eventually I found the fish stall but not before I had been kicked by cat haters and a crowd of kids had grabbed me with sticky hands. So now I was sticky and I probably had bruises all over my body. The fish stand was blue and smelled like fish which is why everyone who ease t buying fish went around it in a wide circle making It easy for me to sneak over to it and underneath the table that the man running the stall was using to display some of his fish. I looked out from underneath the table and saw a bucket of fish a few feet away from me, it was full of fish which I guess I was craving because it was all I wanted. I wanted to just run to the bucket and eat all the fish but the fish man would see me if I did so I waited.
About two hours later it began raining and stalls began to close, the fish stall was no different so when the fish man walked around his table to start dismantling his stall I dashed to the bucket and grabbed a good sized trout in my mouth. A shout made me look up the fish man was running at me with a knife in his hands, I took off my prize firmly clamped In my mouth. The rain made my fur cling to me and it ran into my eyes making it hard to see but I managed to navigate the remaining people and leave the poor fish man stumbling after me in the rain. I ran into an ally that ended in a dead end but it was filled with boxes to hide in which I did as I ate my fish. After I ate my fish I curled up in a ball as I tried to warm myself up and I eventually fell asleep, at least until I was rudely woken up by a giant dog clamping its jaws onto my neck and picking me up.
