Chapter 2: The Jerk is My Cabin Mate

***RECAP*** & REVISED!

Creakkk I heard the cabin door open. A guy that looked to be my age dragged in a huge navy blue bag. Now, I don't typically gawk at guys, but let's just say he became the exception. From the back, well he looked fine as hell. He definitely worked out to have the muscles he has rippling across his shoulders as he carried his huge bag. He had black hair with light brown highlights, clearly loving the outdoors. He was definitely a foot taller than my 5'3''. Damn, I was hoping for a girl my age. He turned around and gave me a smirk.

"Well, hello there gorgeous."

Chapter 2: The Jerk is My Cabin Mate

"Well, are you going to just stand there, or are you gonna help me?" he smirked with his British accent.

Did I forget to mention that before? Sorry, my brain had just spontaneously exploded due to the hot British guy standing in front of me.

Well, honestly his looks and accent had me metaphorically drooling, but I'm sooo not gonna admit to that.

"Why should I help you? Can you not pick it up with your tiny winy muscles?" I said condescending.

He gave me a murderous look.

"I'll have you know I can bench 250 pounds, and run 2 miles every morning." The hot jerk said flexing his stunning muscles.

"Well, then I guess I can go back to living my life." I responded, grabbing a book from my pile, and lying in bed. Next thing I knew, a warm body was occupying the right side of my bed.

"Is there something I can not help you with jerkface?" I said in a bored tone, flipping through the pages. I can be a pretty fast reader, and this one was a real page turner.

"Yeah, why did you call me jerkface? I have a name you know." The jerk said frowning.

"Well, I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but you didn't exactly introduce yourself, and I certainly wasn't expecting a boy to bunk in here with me." I responded briskly.

"Well I'm not a boy, I'm a man; My name is Alec Campbell and I'm 18 years old." Jerk face responded.

"Awww, that sucks because I think jerkface is a more fitting name, or even jackass works." I responded.

"Wow, that really hurt bookworm." Alec said wounded.

"Bookworm?" I asked looking at him for the first time. He's eyes were a pretty hazelnut brown, that obviously sent all the girls swooning. He had a straight nose, with rosy cheeks. His messy hair was dark with sunlights (highlights from the sun). All in all, he was the perfect heartbreaker, and I sure as hell wasn't going to let him near my heart. "Why the hell are you calling me bookworm?"

"Because judging from your stack of books, you love to read." He responded smartly.

"Clearly Einstein. Unfortunately, I'll finish this stack in a week, so I'll be bored the rest of the Summer. My name is Melody Johnson by the way, and I'm 18 as well." I said as I continued reading the book at hand; it's about a good girl who's quickly falling in love with the badboy. I couldn't help but laugh out loud; the irony that it would never happened in real life.

"You've gotta be kidding; there's gotta be like 40 books in that stack- And Melody is a beautiful name. "Alec flirted.

"It's 44, not including the book in my hand. Thank you for the compliment. Now, if you don't mind; I'd like to finish this book in the next half hour." I responded shooing him away.

"This book must have at least 300 pages with as many words on each page: how the hell can you read so fast." Alec responded looking amazed.

"Well, I was born gifted with this talent. Unfortunately, there are more books in this world than I can ever read with more being published everyday. Now will you please leave my bed?" I asked, scooting closer to the left side.

He scooted closer placing his hands on my waist.

"Well, I can think of better things to do than read." He said, his fingers trailing across my taunt tummy. My breath caught in my throat, and I couldn't help but look into his eyes. His face came closer, up until it was only an inch away from mine. The air was heavy and I couldn't help responding to his touch. I inched closer until my lips were close to his ears.

"There's no way in hell you're going to have any fun with me, so leave me the hell alone Alec."

"Not in your sweet dreams Melody, no way in hell." He grinned.
