*Two Years Later*
"And then he was like, it's not you, it's me! Like what kind of person says that! It's the oldest line in the book." Listening to her best friend did tire Ivory, but she loved her really. Normally she would listen to the entire story, no matter how much her blonde-haired friend blabbed on, but this was different. She saw someone, a boy. He had chocolate brown hair and his skin was just ever so slightly tanned.
"So yeah, I just threw my drink at him and-"
"Wait, Yasmin. Do you see that guy over there?" Ivory pointed in his direction and blew her long fringe out of her face, unsuccessfully.
"What guy? Oh, him?" Yasmin pointed towards the same person and followed him with her finger as he walked across the other end of the field.
"Yeah! Him." She dropped her arm and grabbed a little clippy white bow from out her back pocket, then continuing to slide it into her fringe so it stayed to the side.
"Do you know him?" Her friend asked, fairly interested.
"No, I just saw him now." Ivory pulled her hair over one shoulder to sit down since it had grown to past her waist.
"Oooooooo! I know what's going on! I think you like him!" Yasmin said, poking the dirty-blonde haired girl's shoulder, who laughed in response.
"Yeah right Yasmin! One, I don't even know him. Two, I'm looking at him from a distance, he could be hideous up close! And three, you know I haven't been interested in anyone ever before, what makes you think I'll start liking people now!" She rolled her eyes at her green-eyed friend.
"Okay, you're right Ivory!" Yasmin sighed and pulled two long white ribbons out of her hair.
"Now Ivory, your hair is so long and beautiful, you should do something with it, other than just clipping your fringe back. My ribbons match yours so just sit there while I do this." Ivory nodded in acceptance and sat up straight.

Yasmin sat in thought for a couple minutes shuffling around, trying to figure out what to do. She then grabbed a hand full of hair from the front of the left her side of head. Starting from a third way down she wrapped the ribbon around Ivory's hair many times and when she reached the end, Yasmin tied a large bow. After neatening the ribbon, she copied the decoration but on the other side of her hair.

"There we go! Now do that every morning and you'll look like an anime character since they always have the same hairstyle, every day!" The two friends giggled together and Ivory pulled out a mirror, examining herself.
"Looks nice! Maybe I will do this every day, I do find it difficult doing things with my hair since it's so long." She fiddled with the bow a little before deciding to leave it in place.
"Why is your hair so long? You could cut it short, I dunno, to above your shoulders or something."

That's the kind of hairstyle her mother had. Short. Dirty-blonde. She realised that she hasn't even thought about her mother for nearly a year. God. She thought. This is bringing back memories! I had finished grieving and honestly I had gotten over it. A wave of sadness flooded over Ivory as she looked towards the ground, however her clipped back fringe did not cover her grey-blue eyes, since that's what she normally does if she wants to cover her face. But when she glanced up for a second she saw him again. It was just for a second before he disappeared but it made her forget everything.

"Ivory? Ivory? Earth to Ivory! IVORY ANGELINE PRICE LISTEN TO ME." Yasmin shouted in her ear, shaking her from her thoughts.
"W-what?"
"You really are a scatterbrain, aren't you? I'll repeat my question. Why is your hair so long?"
"Oh!" She laughed a little and soon forgot about the boy she just saw.
"I dunno. I like it long I guess."

And just like that she Ivory turned back to herself, her normal and sweet self.
