3 - Memories

Hale was still pissed about the whole 'deal' thing with Terrance and he chose to ignore me instead of trying to talk me out of this. I have to say that I was quite impressed how he could stay this persistent on not talking to me.

"Twyla," I stand corrected. "Just cancel the deal-" Hale said with his pleading green eyes as he popped his head from behind the wall that separated our tables.

"-please." His emphasized the word please and I happily agreed with him and we both got married and have ten children and 30 cats and we live in an island full of nothingness.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you guys get the idea that I said 'no', right? But if you didn't, it was as if someone saying that they're allergic to pizza.

"No," I simply said and turned back to my computer, again ignoring the fact that maybe one day Hale will realize that I am nothing but a waste of his time and he shouldn't be around someone like me. He should've realize that by now.

I heard him sighed and about to argue again before got cut off by someone I despised the most. Second to BJ. Because BJ is BJ.

"Slacking off, Mr Clifford?" Terrance, or what I like to him; the Satan's pet, talked to Hale in his deep, husky voice. His blue eyes staring right through Hale as he stuttered in nervousness.

I glanced at him and saw that save-me-with-your-super-rude-attitude look on Hale's face. I sighed as I rolled my eyes and helped him but not right away though. I made him waited until I finished my typing which caused him to glare at me. Terrance still staring deep at him.

As soon as I finished, I stretched my arms in the air and let out a loud 'woo!', totally ignoring the judgmental looks that my co-workers gave me. I stretched a bit more before stood up and rested my hands on my waist.

"Alright, let's go and get some food, Hale. I'm starving," I said with enthusiasm and failed to acknowledge Terrance's presence as if I was looking right through him. They both looked at me in confusion as I headed towards the entrance.

I looked back and saw that they both were looking at me as if I was crazy. Well, that's because I am. "Well, are you coming or not?" I called out for Hale and he blinked a few times but got up immediately as soon as he caught on.

He hastily got up from his seat and carefully walked past Terrance who was clenching his jaw and raising an eyebrow at me. I knew that I, yet again, pissed him off without even trying. I am truly gifted.

"Let's go, buddy ol' pal." I threw an arm around Hale's shoulder and fist-bumped in the air. "To Subway, we go!" I cheered in fake excitement and almost out of the office before Terrance blew up fuse after me.

"ANDERSON!!!"

Your misery is my only source of happiness. I smirked at the thought and turned around to face him with a clueless smile, Hale was still in my arm. Terrance stomped his way at us, his ears bright red and his lips pressed tightly against each other.

I've never seen him this angry. Nope, I lied. I've totally seen him this angry, fury even. It's gives me the satisfaction to know that I'm not the only one who've had a bad day. At least I get to share my misery with others, right?

By others I meant Terrance. Why? Because he's a jackass.

"Sup, boss?" I greeted him, went for the 'thug-like' style and attitude. My hand was up in the air, waiting for him to high-five it. But, obviously, he won't.
