I couldn't believe that he was actually kissing me back. His hands curled around my waist as he deepened the kiss, and my hands tangled in his hair. This had to be a dream....

"Chris!" I heard Brooke say loudly. Chris pulled away from me immediately, breathing hard.

"Coming!" he shouted. Damn, I hadn't realized that Brooke was home. Chris looked back at me, his cheeks red with embarrassment. He opened his mouth to say something, but then he thought better of it and darted out the door, shutting it behind him. I slumped back on the bed, my chest rising and falling rapidly as I panted for breath. I had kissed him. And he had kissed me back. We had kissed...

"Chanelle! Dinner!" Chris called. I jumped up and opened the door, walking down the stairs and trying to keep myself from blushing. I saw Brooke setting dinner on the table, and I saw Chris watching me from where he sat. He smiled at me and then winked when his mom turned around. That's it, I was blushing like crazy. Brooke turned around and saw me.

"What's wrong, sweetie?" she asked kindly.

"Um, n-nothing." I said, shaking my head as she handed me a plate. I sat down at the table and ate my food, unlike yesterday.

"Well I see you two have an appetite again." she said obliviously. We both nodded in unison and I blushed even more. I had an appetite for Chris, that much was obvious...

After dinner, the doorbell rang again, and Chris jumped up to go open it.

"Chris!" I heard Monica's voice say. I froze and turned around to see her in the doorway. Chris quickly stepped outside and shut the door, and seconds later I heard her voice yelling loudly. I had no clue what she was saying since the door was blocking out most of the noise, but I could definitely tell she was yelling.

Suddenly, the door opened and Chris stormed in, slamming it behind him. Brooke had went in another room, so we were all alone. I was frozen in shock as Chris roughly took my face in his hands and crushed his lips to mine. I gasped in shock as his tongue wrestled with mine, and then without another word he stomped up the stairs and slammed the door to his room. I looked back at the front door to see Monica standing there, her mouth hung open as she gripped the doorknob tightly in her hand. Her face got red with anger and she gave me a murderous look before slamming the door and climbing into her car. I heard the tires squeal as she peeled out of the driveway. I heard footsteps coming down the hall, and then Brooke reappeared.

"What's with all this door slamming?" she asked curiously.

"I have no idea." I replied with a shrug. I still hadn't moved since Chris kissed me. Brooke just shrugged and then went over to begin washing the dishes. I felt an idiotic smile on my face. Chris had kissed me, and Monica had seen it. It felt so cruel to be happy about that fact. but I was more than happy. I was thrilled.

When I finally came to my senses, I stopped standing there like an idiot and ran upstairs to my room, engulfing Maurice in my arms who was on the bed again.

"Maurice! You'll never believe what just happened to me!" I squealed, falling on the bed. "You can't even imagine." He started to lick my face and I giggled, pushing him away.

"It's Chris. Whenever I just look at him, he takes my breath away. And he makes me forget about Mom and Dad. Cause all I want to do is break down and cry. But when I see him, he makes me not want to do that. And I feel so much better." Maurice looked at me like he was listening and taking in every word.

"Thanks for being there for me buddy." I whispered, kissing his nose. I got up and walked out my room, creeping up to Chris's room. He had been really angry, maybe I could calm him down. I lightly knocked on the door, listening and waiting for him to say something. When he didn't say anything, I opened the door and peeked in. He was laying on the bed, his eyes closed. Was he asleep?

"C-Chris?" I said softly. He didn't even move so I walked all the way in, closing the door and stared at him. I could see the form of his abs through his shirt and wanted to just run my hand over it so badly. I lightly touched his shirt, maneuvering the soft fabric between my fingers. I slowly sat down on the bed and laid back, putting my head on his chest. It was so warm, I bet Monica got to do this all the time.

I froze when I felt his arms wrap around me tightly. Busted.

"Chris I'm sorry-"

"Shh." He said, not allowing me to get up.

"But-"

"Stay with me tonight." He mumbled, his eyes already closing again. When he didn't say anything else after a few minutes, I gladly rested my head back on his chest and fell asleep quickly.

When I woke up, my arms were wrapped around something small and warm. I opened my eyes to see Maurice staring at me. I sat up quickly and saw that Maurice and I were all alone... In Chris' bed. The bathroom door suddenly opened and I looked to see Chris with a towel wrapped around his waist. He was shirtless, and I couldn't help but stare. I closed my eyes and turned away as he got dressed, and then I felt a warm pair of arms wrap around me from behind. I gasped as he started to kiss my neck.

"C-Chris." I said. He turned me around to look at him, and he still wasn't wearing a shirt.

"You have a girlfriend." I whispered as he stared at me.

"What are you talking about?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I-isn't Monica your girlfriend?" I asked.

"She was. I broke up with her yesterday." He said, leaning in to kiss me. I froze as his warm lips moved against mine, and I couldn't help but run my hands down his smooth chest. He deepened the kiss and my hands tangled in his short black curls. His hands trailed down to the dress I had put on yesterday, and he hitched it up around my waist.

"Do you need me to help you get this dress off too?" He whispered huskily in my ear. I giggled and nodded, pressing my lips to his again.

"Chris! Chanelle! Where are you?!" We both gasped when we heard Brooke's voice. I immediately fixed my dress and Chris grabbed a nearby shirt, slipping it on. I picked up Maurice and told Chris to wait until I walked out. I eased out the room, and looked down the hallway.

"Brooke?" I called. She walked out her room and looked at me.

"There you are, listen, I got a call and we've decided to have a closed casket ceremony for your parents funeral." I got kinda choked up, just thinking about it.

"O-okay." I muttered, looking away from her. I felt the tears coming and someone put their arm around me. I recognized Chris's scent.

"It's okay." He said in my ear, trying to comfort me. I looked at Brooke and she gave me a comforting smile that Mom always use to give me. I felt a little better and Chris let me go because Brooke kept staring at us.

"It's tomorrow morning, so you'll have to get up, okay?" Brooke said.

"Okay, I will." I walked past her to my room and sat on my bed. Tomorrow was gonna be really rough for me. I just know it.
