Jaden's POV:

" Goodmorning!" I said tipping my cap and continuing to mop the floor. The man said Goodmorning back and walked past me.

After finishing the floor I put the supplies back and put the caution sign down on the floor.

" Ayo Jaden!" I heard my boss call me. I looked up and saw him in the front of the store.

I took my gloves off and went over to him. " Yea wassup?" I asked.

" Why da hell you mopping the floor?"

" The floor was dirty??" I said in more of a question way.

" No man, we got someone to do that. You need to be working the register and helping people that's coming in." I nodded my head. "Here take this and put it on"

I took the footlocker shirt and went into the back. I then changed my shirt and changed my sneakers.

Once finished I went back in the front and went to the cash register. A family of 2 boys and a woman walked in.

" Goodmorning, how y'all doing?" I semi yelled across the store greeting them. The young lady turned her head and grabbed the hands of her toddler sons to walk over to me.

When she got to the register she had a big smile on her face. I smiled back out of politeness and asked her, " Do you need any help?"

" Yea actually I do-" she tried to say but the little boy pulled at her shirt before she could finish. She looked down to him and back at me.

" mama I want juice" the little boy said.
I walked around the counter and kneeled down to the little boy.

" Aye wassup lil man" I said. He giggled and shook my huge hand compared to his.

I stood up and looked at the girl.
" Whatchu need?" I asked.

" Well my sons are having a party tomorrow and they need some new sneakers to go with their outfits."

" Oh that's coo, so what color they gonna be rockin?" I asked stepping to the toddler section.

They walked behind me and followed.
" They're gonna be wearing red, black and white." I nodded " Ok that's easy"

I picked out 3 specific Jordan's that just came out and are popular. She shook her head at all of them and said they already had those.

" What do they not have?" I asked chuckling. " I mean they're good boys and I always keep my family up with the new sneakers."

" Any specific brand that they don't have?" I asked licking my lips which is a really bad habit that I have adapted to. She giggled " Adidas probably."

I nodded my head and picked up some all red Adidas Superstars. I then handed them to her and she inspected them for a few seconds.

" Yea they're nice I guess..." She responded. " You guess!...these are the Adidas Superstars aka Shell Toes."

"And?" She said tugging on her bottom lip. " You want em' or not, cuz your starting to disrespect some original sneakers here!" I boosted trying to fake like I was annoyed.
