Josh was like every other teenage boy, broad shouldered and narrow minded. He hadn't so much as looked at me let alone try and initiate conversation. Maybe I should try to talk to him... no. He doesn't seem like the type of guy to talk to me, he looks smart, so at least I could copy his work.
He kept looking down at his phone, and being nosey, I'd worked out this much; he was talking to a girl (or guy, you've got to be open minded in this day and age) named Sarah, and she was disgusted at his horrendous pick up lines, I can't blame her, and with the slang she was using, I'm guessing she was a Londoner. I had to know more.
"So who's Sarah?" I asked him as innocently as possible.
"What's it to you?" He replied, though he was trying to keep it cool, he was blushing red like a tomato.
"Oh nothing," I smirked "I was just wondering who was so important to stop you from doing all this - " I gestured towards the stack of work on the table " incredibly fun and enriching work?". If looks could kill I'd have been doomed.
"Oh yeah because who doesn't enjoy being taught about everything that's wrong with the world?". His voice was more sour than the 'toxic waste' sweets.
"Clearly you." I said in a light tone which probably came off as sarcastic. He didn't reply. Great. I'd managed to annoy him already.
I tried to catch the attention of my friend Poppy. Me and Poppy had an agreement that if aren't both in a relationship by the time we are twenty five we will marry each other. She was busy talking to Tom Irwin, who was always talking to some girl or another.
"She's me girlfriend." Informed Josh out of the blue.
"What?" I asked, just so he would say it again.
"Sarah, she's my girlfriend" he said, well more like sighed.
"Why do you sound so sad about it, you have a girlfriend" I laughed, which may have been inappropriate.
"Yeah, yeah I do."...
