I am reminded of Saran Wrap. That's what the Old One feels like as it begins to close tightly around my body. I can feel the last eddies of air being pushed away from my skin. I am like a fresh pound of bacon just removed from the package and wrapped for later. I am a newly manufactured toy being shrink wrapped for the shelf. I am the Christmas present you have always wanted hidden behind the opaque shield of paper. And now I'm about to be opened up from the inside out.

The thin digestive envelope of the Old One touches my skin. I draw in a sharp breath.

It feels good.

Now that is completely unexpected.

I like this feeling.

I like it a lot.

Who would have thought.

That being consumed could be so...

Oh yes, right there right there right there

I never realized pain could be

Soooo

Exquisite

I'm screaming aren't I?

But not screaming

In agony

This is ecstasy

Who would have thought

From the thrashing and

Throbbing and

Twisting and

Writhing of my body that

Oh yes, right there right there right there

Just eat the whole eye in one bite

Reach under my skin

Through the stitches

Running all along my body

And into my guts

To where my soul

Resides

Right there right there

My tether leads you

To the source of my

Being

I tremble

In anticipation

As your slimy ectoplasmic tendril

Wraps itself around

My being

Right there

Right there

Right here.

The edge

How can you just hold me

Over the edge

Between here and now

And there and never

The bliss of

Non ex is

tence

Oh

yes

I miss

Will miss

This experience

Gotcha you little piece

Of transubstantial garbage.

I hold the extended tongue of the surprised Old One with a thousand hands formed from the ultraviolet spectrum of my soul. 'You let your guard down,' I tell it as it squirms in my grasp. 'You are Old, aren't you?'

I drive my five thousand fingers into its insubstantial flesh and twist hard. Then I tear it apart into a thousand pieces.
