Its has been a month since I've last seen my family
I decided to send out a message to my kingdom

I went to my desk
And wrote

Dear Family,

Almost to the battle grounds
So far safe and sound , all men are counted for and we are prepared...
I hope my kingdom is alright but mostly I hope you are alright
My dear Queen and daughter
There isn't one day I don't wake up without thinking and worrying about you
I miss you both dearly
To my princess Melody
Remember a hero always stands there ground
I know I'm not there to teach you like always but please study and keep up in your teachings
Watch over your mother and always lift your head proudly

Since we are almost to the grounds I won't be able to write to you as much but I promise that when this war is at end
I will send out a letter to declare our victory for a celebration
Till then my love and child

Melody's Pov

After a quick rest
I hopped back on the horse
About to head north
Jayden tagged along
It was a quiet ride till Jayden spoke

Jayden : What to hear a joke?

Melody : Sure...

Jayden: Okay there was this Knight who went on a quest to go save a damsel in distress ....

Melody : okay?

Jayden : anyway he went on the quest and found the castle with the damsel ...

Melody : And...

Jayden: he also found out it was guarded by a fire breathing dragon

Melody : and let me guess, he slated it and saved the damsel

Jayden: No that's even not funny then
Melody : Okay then what happens

Jayden: The Knight trys to think of a plan but then he turns around and sees another Knight on the same quest

Melody : Where is this story going

Jayden : So the the knight has an idea and tells the the other knight
You go save the damsel in distress and I'll go save the damsel in that dress
Then both knights turned around and saw another damsel in a ugly dress
So the first Knight grabbed the damsel in the dress and rode off
Leaving the dragon with a snack!!!!
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha, isn't that funny

Melody : The first Knight sounds like a coward

Jayden : But did you get the joke
He saved a damsel in distress because he helped a damsel change out of that ugly dress

Melody : I get it , I just don't see it as funny

Jayden : Killjoy

Melody : whatever

Jayden and I made it to a tall cliff
As we looked down we saw an army!!!
Melody : Its the ROYAL ARMY!!!!

Jayden : no it's not...!

Melody : what do you mean

Jayden : Thats the rebel Army, see the black flag...

I looked at the top tents and saw the flag
Jayden was right
all the flags we're black with a bleeding heart with a blade inside
The Royal Flags we're red with a gold crown

Jayden : We found the Rebel Army camp site

Melody : This is not good

Jayden : Yes it is!!

Melody : Jayden I wanted to find the royal army, not the rebel

Jayden : But you could be a rebel

Melody: Excuse me!!!!

Jayden : Listen to me, you could dress as a rebel and sneak in and stop the rebels from attacking

Melody : and then...?

Jayden : and then go home as a princess again and live happily ever after

Melody : I don't know

??? : Oh you're in big trouble Melody Harp!!!

Melody : Who said that?

??? : I did!!

Melody : Who?

All of a sudden a small creature in a tux and sun glasses with small wings popped in my face

??? : It was me kid

Melody : Wait a second I know you, my dad told me about you
But you wore a diaper instead

Jayden started laughing

??? : That's right, I'm the one and only and upgraded to a head of my job
None other then Cupid!!!
