━ Kim Hyemin grew up living in Daegu, South Korea. When she was 14 years of age, her father was offered a better job and he left Daegu, leaving Hyemin to stay with her mother and her brother. Eventually, however, her brother moved to America where he went to college. After this, Hyemin was chosen to be apart of a music academy in Daegu, where she studied hard.
