"Annyeonghaseyo!" A voice shouted loudly. "I'm home, finally!"
The owner of the voice (who just so happened to be the leader of Deja Vu), Chae Namhee, walked quickly through the hall of their dorm and burst the door open, a huge grin on her face, pearly whites gleaming.
Her expression dropped as she saw the familiar bodies of her group, however with a look of perhaps shock, confusion, or anger on their faces. None of them, with the exception of Jeon Raya, made eye contact with their leader.
"What..." Jo mumbled, dropping her bag to the ground, making an unnatural noise in the silent dorm. "What's wrong, guys?"
"Yah, Jo-unnie..." The maknae of Deja Vu spoke lightly, her hanging over the sides of her face. "You should sit down."
━ "You're scaring me,"
━ "I know. That's okay."
Jo sat down on the sofa, next to a trembling red-head who pushed her knees to her chin and hugged her legs. Jo turned around to look her in the eye, and the red-head just bit down on her bottom lip and shrugged her shoulders.
"Has something unfortunate happened?" Jo questioned.
"Ne, you could say that." Kim Hyemin answered her, brushing a hand through her tousled locks. "Cube visited us whilst you were gone."
━ "They did?"
━ "They did."
"Well, what have they said?" Jo said, her blood going cold inside of her. "I hate seeing you guys like this. I'm really worried."
A few shuffling noises were heard in the lounge. Baek Aecha, who sat diagonal of the leader, rubbed at her eyes to get rid of the sleep before speaking. "They said they're thinking of dropping us from the label."
"What?!" Jo exclaimed loudly, her fingers digging into the side of the sofa. The red-head next to her bounced in fright when she yelled. "No, no, that'd can't be true. They're probably lying."
"Isn't a lie, Jo," Yukimura Sanha said gloomy, her fingers pressing against her forehead. "And none of us understand. It isn't like we're getting less popular."
"Well, they did give us an ultimatum." Park Hyelin spoke, leaning back on the sofa and crossing her legs. "After what they said, I'm not sure I want to stay an idol in this industry any longer."
"Lin please don't say that," Wu Lihua said nervously, one of her hands tangled in her scarlet locks. "None of us are leaving. I couldn't live without you seven."
"Okay, I need an explanation." Jo demanded. "Now."
Raya inhaled sharply. "Cube came over, like we said. Spoke about how even though we're still relatively popular for only debuting last year, they're a little worried."
"Ugh, worried." Aecha scoffed, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms. "Saying it like they were being nice or something."
