Chapter 12 Back from the dead.

My baby was crying, I rushed into her room but Quincy already beat me to it. I smiled as I watched him from the door way handling my prized possesion in his hands. He flashed me a smile after he quieted her down, he got ready to leave for work. I smiled giving him a hug and kiss.

"Dont forget the dinner at my co-workers tonight!" I said, fixing his tie.

"Ohh. I got a meeting tonight can you tell her I cant make it." He said making a sorry face, I forgave him then sent him on his way. I had a lot of things to do today, I went upstairs and got Christinas baby bag ready. I put on a pair of black heels, jeans, and a white tank top. I grabbed my keys, and purse then headed out. I had to stop by my job at first, to let my boss know that i couldnt make the dinner tonight. I parked the car, grabbed my baby putting her in her stroller. I walked inside saying hello to everyone. I pasted by Rachel on my way in and stopped to have a small conversation.

"Ohh! Is that my God-Child in there." She said peeking over her desk into the crib.

"Yes mam." I said smiling.

"How is everything?" She said.

"It good. Hows work?" I said smiling.

"Not to good, but its getting better. Oh bosslady wants to talk to you." She said pointing the open door down the hall, I rolled my eyes I couldnt stand her. Annoying.

"Oh come in and let me see the baby." She said waving me over, I didnt want her touching my baby, can you believe this woman has slept with about half the top dogs to get where she was. Gross. Shes was a walking STD and probably was in denial about it. She went to pick her up, I stopped her she wasnt going to touch her. That was a fact.

"Shes so cute." She said with her face all in the crib, I was about to snatch her back my baby didnt want to smell her stanky morning breath.

"Yeah. I cant make it to the dinner. The Hubby is going to be out for the night." I said standing in-between her and my baby letting her know she was too close.

"Oh thats alright. Maybe next time." She said flashing me a fake smile.

"See you later." I said leaving her office, I made it out alive thank the lord. I went back into my car, went shopping for some food, clothes, cleaning supplies the works. I put Christina inside of her play pin, while I unloaded the bags. The day was a long one, and the darkness finally took over the sky, and the baby was asleep. I carried her upstairs, when I heard the doorbell ring I rushed downstairs hoping it was Quincy. I opened the door, there was a man. He looked familiar. As I examined his face he planted a kiss on my lips, I pushed him away. There was only one person I knew kissed me like that, but I had to be sure. He invited himself in, he was a clean cut man fine dressed in a all black suit. He looked like he came here for business. When he walked by I smelt a familiar smell. He turned around and when are eyes met I was for sure on who it was.
