How you meet (G)

I walked to the bumper cars with Amy and Alyssa and we waited in line. It was not long until the front of the queue and I was really nervous. I had never done this before. Amy and Alyssa were going together so I was hoping to get a one-seater but as I looked over the crowds of heads I could only see carts with two seats. I would just go by myself so it would be fine. Two strangers got on and there were only two more pairs in front of me in the line. I nervously swayed from side to side and waited until I was called to get into a bumper car. 

Amy and Alyssa hopped in and I was next. Alone. It was now my turn and I was walking over to an empty car. As I was about to sit down in the drivers seat someone started speaking "Do you wanna drive or shall I?" A deep raspy voice headed in my direction. I raised my eyes and looked at him. He was a tall, handsome, dark-haired boy with blonde highlights at the front. His beautiful hazel eyes glistened in the sunlight. I paused, took a deep breath and said "Um... do you mind driving I don't really know how to." He nodded and smiled. Oh my god his smile was perfect. His straight, white teeth shone and he hopped in first. I placed myself down next to him and our shoulders touched. The car started to move and it was pretty scary but something about this boy made me feel safer.

As I was lost in my own thoughts he said to me "So why was a pretty girl like you about to ride alone?" I blushed at his comment and answered "oh my friends wanted to ride together so I offered to ride by myself, how about you?" He shrugged and said "same" and we both giggled. "So what's your name?" He politely asked. "Y/N" i shyly answered. As I was  about to ask for his name the ride ended and we both hopped out. Without taking another look I  left and headed for the candy floss stall.

I was trailing behind Amy and Alyssa, third-wheeling as I usually did when a strong hand grabbed my arm and turned me around. It was the boy. He took my hand and put a small piece of paper in it and closed my hand again, wrapping his fingers around mine. He smiled and winked smoothly and walked away.

I looked down at my hands and opened them taking the piece of paper out. It read:

It was his number. I squealed a little and smiled to myself. His name was Grayson.
