I was going over to Grayson's house, he was my boyfriend of one year and I felt completely comfortable with looking like shit around him. However, today I was going to try and look good because his friends were over and I have never been around them without makeup.

I did my hair up in a high ponytail and I wore and tight fitting crop top and high waisted ripped jeans. For shoes I wore black adidas superstars. I put on mascara, eyeliner and the other usual stuff and I was ready to go.

I drove to Grayson's house and started to walk around to their back yard as he said that that would be there. I saw them all sitting there on their phones looking on Instagram. They still couldn't see me and as I got closer I could hear what they were saying. "Dang, she is so hot." Grayson said whilst looking at his phone. On the screen was my best friend. "I wouldn't mind dating her!" He said still looking at her. "She has blonde hair..." I looked at my brown hair, "....she has perfect skin..." I had freckles and my skin was not perfect, ".....she has an amazing body...." I definitely did not have an amazing body. Nate (Garner) then added "but what about (Y/N)?" Grayson looked at him and said, "Eh, she pretty but kinda average, not as hot as (y/b/f/n)" a warm tear rolled down my cheek and I let out a sob. Grayson turned around and saw me crying. He got up and started walking towards me. I ran inside and went up to his room and lay face down on his bed, crying.

A few seconds later he rushed in and rubbed my back, "Baby what did u hear?" I looked up at him and said, "Everything!" At this point I sat up and hugged my knees.

He looked extremely guilty and he put the strands of hair that had fallen from my ponytail behind my ear. "Babe I didn't mean it, it's just that my friends were saying it so I agreed." I shook my head "that's a lie but I forgive you, just please don't talk about me like that behind my back." I looked down and he engulfed me in a hug. "I'm sorry
