SO VERY SORRY
My depression dragged me down for a bit, BUT I'M BACK! Then again, this chapter might get you a bit angsty...

"It's been a year..." says Lector. "How do we know she's not... dead?"

------------------------------

You flinch. What is up with me lately? Blinking a few times, you stiffen as Roran opens the door.

"You know the drill," he says dully. "Let's go."

---

You stare blankly as the machine robs even more of your magic. It doesn't even hurt anymore...

Then, you think something. Something highly possible.

Am I going insane?

It's been a year—yes, over three-hundred-sixty-five days—since these people have taken you. For a long time, you were in a depression. During your depression, you'd tried to commit suicide multiple times, and they raised the level of magic they would take from you. Apparently, that wasn't enough. Apparently, you had an overwhelming amount of magic energy. It was torture. But in the last few months, you seemed... emotionless. Pallid in spirit, losing all feeling. No more depression, no more happiness, no more... love. Just... boredom. Even your visions had stopped.

"S-Sir, it's overpowering." says one of Roran's lackeys, worryingly clutching a lever.

"Keep going," Roran demands. "I want to hear the girl's screaming."

The lackey grunts, touching a few buttons.

You still don't scream, not even feeling. Your seemingly colorless eyes just gazed off into the distance, not showing any kind of emotion.

What have I become...?

CRASH!

You tried looking for what happened, a still emotionless look on your face.

There's a flash of blond..

Then it all goes dark.

---

Dark, eternal black. You're trapped in an everlasting darkness, a world full of pure nothingness.

Enter; a small flash of light, and suddenly, it encloses you. You're brought into a meadow.

It was peaceful, and reminded you of past memories long forgotten. You looked down.

Your hands seemed healthy instead of your frail, thin and scarred ones. Your clothes, a simple white sundress, instead of your gray tattered rags. And you, yourself... you felt an emotion that you had long forgotten.

Happiness.

Suddenly, you were falling back into the darkness. Your eyes closed, blinking out a tear. Your emotions were taken away once again...

You saw a hand, reaching out to you. You hesitantly took it, feeling no remorse as you felt a curiosity overwhelm your fear. The hand was strangely familiar, and you realize why when you see a face. The face you dearly missed. Dark ultramarine eyes, a small scar adorning his right eyebrow... and his all too familiar one earring on his left ear. He pulled you up by the hand, and surrounding him were so many more familiar faces; Natsu, Lucy, Levy, Erza, Yukino and Rogue. A warmth spread onto your face—tears.

It's been so long since I've felt like this... then, you regain an old anxiety habit: biting your lip. This is all a dream. I know it. They're probably somewhere in the real world, not a thought about me in their head... they probably don't even remember or care about me.

You let go of his hand, the eternal night once again taking you into its clutches.

Drip.

Drop.

Drip.

It was just like that day. Rain fell, and dark cerulean eyes glazed with tears stared out the window, watching as drops fell, plopping onto the window pane. The pair of eyes made their way to gaze at an unconscious, now extremely thin and pale (h/c) haired girl. He runs a hand through his blond hair, and whispered sweet nothings as he grasped the girl's frail hand.

The girl's lips were parted, and she almost murmured the man's name until...

The heart monitor went flat.

The man shook his head in disbelief. Calling someone over, he started nearly hyperventilating, terrified for his lover. An elderly woman ushered him out as she went to work. The man simply nodded, trusting the woman to do her work.

He walked out, and immediately his comrades asked about the girl. He refused to talk, still paralyzed from what he'd just seen. He pushed through them, and walked out, his breathing still unsteady and his heart going a million a minute. He walked out into the rain, dampening his clothes as he drearily walked back to his guild. His guild mates asked about the girl as well, and like before, he stayed silent. Closing and locking the door, the male sits on the bed, burying his face in his hands as he started to break. A full year had passed, and when he was finally expecting to have a happy reunion, it all went down the drain.

Fate just isn't on my side, he thought, his vision blurring, clearing, and then blurring again once another tear fell.

He sat there, tears continuously flowing. Once he felt he ran out of tears, he sat down on a desk chair. He had made a decision. He would no longer come to see the (h/c) haired girl. He would no longer love, because everything he loved seemed to disappear. Over and over again, he wished to see her (e/c) eyes sparkle with humor and to hear her melodic, airy laugh. He was hurting, and he wanted it to stop. He wanted to stop loving her... but he couldn't. This is was final decision, and it was to stay this way. He would cover everything up, never showing love or saying the three words he had said to the girl... although deep inside, he wanted her back, desperately.

Why, (Y/N)? He asked. Why did you leave me in the dark?

A/N - I'm sorry, did I kill you again?.... I just wanted a suspense filled ending. Next chapter will be normal sized...

Probably.

Oh well, onto YET ANOTHER DRAFT!!
