a perfect little butterfly
pretty as can be
hides sadness deep inside of her
so that no one but her can see
a beautiful little butterfly
cries and cries again
she hides behind a mask,
smiles and plays pretend
a sorrowful tiny butterfly
remains behind her pretty wings
she thought no one cared for her
though those closest to her considered her a queen
this heartbroken little butterfly
stopped flapping her wings one night
and she fell down deep into the sea
she drowned with tears as she thought
"nobody loves me"
