The trial by tale is an annual competition, where the top evers and nevers compete against each other. They get let into the blue forest for the night. They have to survive, both, the teachers traps, and the other students. Evers are against nevers. If you are in danger, drop your handkerchief, and you will get rescued immediately. This is a test for the strongest, most clever students.
