Red

I've always known I would never change my favorite color

I would sooner die than choose another.

Red won my favor for reasons unknown,

But one thing is certain, red is my own.

Now I consider things I'd not before...

So assured is my certainty, but what for? Red,

A way to track my opinion, would it ever change,

Should the red light go off, it all will derange.

Doubt's looming shadow that darkens vision

threatens action with indecision,

Dampens all good things that glisten,

brings about life's intermission.

Solace is taken in my static opinion,

Red is the color of my dominion

Will I ever discover why I like red, or will I change my mind

Until I considered the moment I first chose it,

I immediately or over short time associated myself having this color be the one

With a successful life of certainty amongst my indecision
