It was a slow day at the Luna market. Cinder was busy doing nothing, she barley got any customers these days because Lunars were still wary of androids. "Speaking of androids, where's Iko?" Cinder thought. "She's probably off with Kinney doing who knows what. I really wish she was here, it's pretty lonely, and I can't comm Kai because he's in an important meeting. Stars! It's been a year since I last saw him, I wish I could see him." Cinder sighed and turned around, maybe she could get more business if she looked like she was busy. So she set off to organize her tools yet again.
Then like clockwork, Cinder heard a thunk behind her. "Thank the stars! Hello how can I help you today."
The customer was wearing a dark gray hoodie that covered his face. "Hm... That's werid, normally Lunars don't wear hoodies, maybe he's an Earthern," Cinder wondered.
"I um, was wondering if you could fix my android," the guy said. His voice was a lot deeper than she thought it would be.
"Do you know what's wrong with it?"
"Maybe, I don't know. It just suddenly shut down."
Cinder grabbed the android off the table. "Okay let me have a try." She started to lift it up to hit it against the table when the guy interrupted.
"I already tried that, it didn't work."
Cinder started at him dumbfounded. "How did you know that?"
The guy looked up, and Cinder could see his brown eyes and smirk. She gasped as she realized who was finally standing in front of her.
Kai reached up, pulled his hood back, knelt, and retrieved a small box from his pocket. "Cinder, will you marry me?"
Cinder stood there, tears of joy streaming down her cheeks, as she watched what she dreamed about since she first met Kai. "Yes Kai! I will marry you!"
Kai got up smiling, and he swept Cinder up into a enormous hug. "I'm glad you said yes."
Cinder smiled. "Me too." Then she pulled Kai into a kiss she'd been waiting a year to give him. "55," her cybernetic brain said. "Well that didn't matter anymore because there will be plenty more to come," she thought before she melted into her future husbands kiss.
