Ashley had gotten to the restaurant 30 minutes early and was now pacing outside waiting for you to show up.
Every since getting off the phone with you, Ashley had been unable to get you off his mind. He keep thinking about your small body pressed against him. He wondered if your skin was as soft as it looked.
Would your brown eyes sparkle if he held you?
Would they if he kissed you?
Shaking his head, Ashley spotted your car pulling up to the valet. Walking over to you, Ashley came to a dead stop as he saw you get out of the car.
Dressed in a long sleeved, crow neck, black dress that came just above your knees and black heels. Ashley couldn't take his eyes off you as you walked toward him.
"You could have warned me that this was a restaurant, let alone a nice one!" You hiss at Ashley angry that he didn't tell about the restaurant.
Your anger died as you checked him out. He was wear a nice fitted black suit and tie and man did he look hot.
Looking away you ask. "So when can I have my laptop back?"
Ashley walks up to you holding out his hand for you to take. "I thought we could have dinner and talk first."
You look at his hand nerves creeping up the back of your neck and adjust your glasses. "Okay, but I don't like touching."
Disappointment flashed across his face but was quickly hidden by a smiles. He dropped his hand. "Okay follow me."
The restaurant had gathered crowd of people. Your heart started to race. You hated crowds. People bumping into you, knocking stuff out of your hands, and the occupational quick grope from a stranger made you want to bolt.
You got closer to Ashley almost touching him. He seemed to notice your anxiety and wrapped a arm around your shoulders leaning down to whisper.
"I'm not a fan of crowded places either."
Despite your distaste for human contact, you leaned into him finding comfort.
"Name please?" A male host asked once the both of you were in front of the door.
"Purdy." Ashley gave her a quick smile.
While the host looked over the list Ashley squeezed you tightly against him. You lay your head against his shoulder the smell of leather and a foreign cologne invaded your senses causing you to relax even further against him.
"I'm James and if you'll follow me, I will take you to your table." James said grabbing to menus and rushing off leaving us to quickly follow suit.
The restaurant was dimly lite with two sections and a deep red colored the walls. Soft piano music played over speakers while the wait staff flow by silently and the customers, mostly couples, spoke in low whispers.
"It's lovely in here." You commented to James as the three of you ascended the stairs.
James smiled at you. "Thank you ma'am. The owners from Paris and decorated it after a restaurant she loved from there. Here we are."
Placing menus on the almost isolated booth, James filled two wine glasses with water and said before vanishing. "Please look over the menu and you waiter will be with you shortly."
Glancing at Ashley he had his head propped up in his hand thats on the table and is smiling at you. You quickly open the menu breaking the eye contact, but you could still feel him watching you.
"So umm why did you ask me to meet you here?" You nervously ask and start bouncing your left leg.
You had done that for as long as you could remember when you felt nervous or anxious.
