Jane Pov
I have to admit that I was very nervous about going. This guy knew both Ian and Ellen's dad. That couldn't be good. Especially since both are dead. I had Frost with me and Korsak decided to stay behind with Maura so she wouldn't be lonely.
"Frost let me go in first." I whispered as Frost nodded.
I slowly opened the door.
"Hello? Is anyone here?" I walked in and was grabbed and pulled to the ground.
"I thought I told you to come alone detective." The man sneered as I winced in pain as my body was being pushed and held against the cold floor. Frost soon came in and shot the man in the leg so he would fall. Sure enough, it worked and Frost was on top of him.
"Where are they!?" Frost yelled at the man as he was holding him down to the floor.
"In the back." The man grumbled as Frost found his license.
His name was Liam Zaul.
"Your brother is Mike Zaul isn't it." I stared at Liam as his putrid eyes looked back at me and nodded.
"Him and Ian owed me money. Ian said that he had gotten a beautiful woman for me as well." Liam smirked as he gestured toward his wallet. I picked it up and there was a picture of Maura inside. She was passed out and completely naked. I cringed in disgust that this man would have this.
"Frost throw his ass in jail." I told frost and I was left at the house alone to find Ma and Ellen.
I searched through the closets upstairs and on the main floor. When I decided it was clear, I went down to the basement.
I saw my ma and Ellen tied up with gags. I took the gags out of their mouths and gave them both hugs. I was glad that they were okay. We went back to BPD and both just wanted to go home so I let them go back to Ma's house. After I drove them home I brought Maura back home and stayed with her.
