Chapter 1 : The Start of the End

Hikurama stared at his computer screen for hours. Waiting for the release of the brand new VRMMO Sword Art Online. He has been waiting for almost two months. The timer in his computer counted down 10 more minutes. "Hurry the hell up." He said. He got up from his chair and walked into the kitchen and grabbed himself a glass of orange juice. As he walked back to his room he thought that SAO was going to be the best VRMMO in the world. As he sat down he saw that his timer was a zero and almost choked on his juice. He quickly shot up and grabbed his NerveGear and put it on his head then laid down on his bed. Hikurama took a deep breath and said "Link start." When Hiku opened his eyes it showed a menu. The first box said choose your nickname. Hikurama typed in Hiku in the box. The second option was choose your appearance. He tries to make it look as close as he does in real life (Ends up making character look like the picture up top) He pressed start and the AI said "Welcome to Sword Art Online" and was teleported to the floor 1. Hiku walked around looking at shops and crowds of people. He swiped 2 finger down and looked at his credits. 2000. He walked to a blacksmith looking for a cheap sword. "Its floor one. It has to be cheap" Hiku thought. As he was walking around a bell started ringing and everyone was confused. They started to glow and disappear. When everyone was back they were in a arena of some sort. As he looked I to the sky there was something red that read :warning. It then spread and turned the whole sky red. Blood started dripping out of the messages and formed a giant dark red cloak. The cloak started to speak " Hello. I am Akihiko Kayaba , the developer of SAO and the NerveGear. Welcome to my world that I created my self. Most of you may have noticed something missing from your menu , the log out button. That is because you can never log out. In SAO if your health depletes to 0 the transmitter will send me microwave signal to your brain , destroying your brain , and ending your life. All ready , 218 people have died. I hope you all understand. This is the official start of SAO." He turned into mist and faded away. The red words disappeared and the sky turned blue again. No-one moved.
