It was a bright sunny morning in Jeju Island, tourist were already having fun as the people that lives in the island
start their daily routine. It was far from Seoul so every citizen has a normal life, vendors in the market
farmers and fishermen and other things that won’t be seen in a modernized city.
It was a beautiful place where you can see mandarin trees, big sunflowers and other beautiful flowers in the meadow
fresh fishes from the sea and where you can breathe fresh air and enjoy famous sceneries like falls and some tourist spots.
You immediately run down the big stairs of the house as you try to fix your uniform
the maid greeted you downstairs “good morning young lady please be careful”
“miss your breakfast is all set” another maid walked towards you
you smiled at her but shook your head “I’ll just get something in school, oh I almost forgot is your son ready to go”
the maid smiled at you and nodded “he’s waiting for you outside”
“why didn’t he call me” you run as fast as you could.
You arrived outside but didn’t see him “yah Kwangmin where are you” you called but didn’t get any response
“I’ll leave you behind then” you shouted and started to walk towards the gate when someone grab your arm
“hey wait I just forgot something at home”
you looked at him “I thought my mom told your mother to leave your house and stay at ours”
Kwangmin nodded “yeah but that doesn’t mean I cant go back to my old house, we’ll live in yours but
that house will stay the same, I can go there whenever I want too”
you shook your head “okay okay can we go now, we’re going to be late”
he took your bag and started to leave “hey I can bring my own bag” you followed him and tried to take your bag
but he placed it over his shoulder “I want to help, I’m your maid’s son remember”
you made a face “so, that doesn’t mean you’re one too and you’re my friend since we’re babies
and ajhumma is like a mother, my mom doesn’t even treat her as a maid”
Kwangmin smiled at you “then I’ll bring this as a friend ok and hey call me oppa I’m older that you”
you chuckled “yeah right in a month”
“still I’m older so call me oppa”
“fine lets just hurry up” you giggled and passed by him
“aigoo” Kwangmin shook his head and a glint of happiness was in his eyes *life is hard but I
’m blessed to have this people beside me, my mom who I love the most
Mrs. Kim who took us in and help us even we’re not related to them and not even in their level
and this girl in front of me that never fail to make me smile, I don’t want anything else as long as I have them*
