|Imagine that everyone is born with the name of their soulmate written on their skin. When supernatural things start happening to you, you finally meet your soulmate, a man named Dean Winchester.|
Part One
You were jealous of her. You were jealous of your closest friend, she always got everything. She barely worked for any of it. She went on a vacation in Hawaii, didn't call or text you at all. Yet, when she came back, she was with a man. Her soulmate, and he was a CEO. He was loaded as she had said.
You wanted to find your soulmate, yet you never did. The name Dean Winchester was written in small, cursive, black font on your right wrist. His name sounded so nice when you said it out loud. It was made to roll right off your lips.
"We are planning to get married in March," your friend told you. You looked up from your sandwich, and bit your lip. You were moving to a new place then, to go to school.
"I'm moving then," You said, "Remember?"
"No, I don't. So you're telling me, you won't be there?" She raised an eye at you. She was clearly angry.
"(Y/f/n), I made these plans before you left." You said, "I should I known you would not remember." You muttered.
"Oh?" She sneered, "You know what, I am done with this. I am sorry I finally found him, the man made for me. While you, you stay cooped up in your small, dingy apartment." She said, she stood up in one fluid movement and walked away from you.
You sighed, and leaned back in the chair. You didn't care that you just lost your only friend. You were sick of being second place in her books. She always forgot what you say, no matter how important it was to you.
You threw out all the trash, and started walking back to your apartment. You liked being alone, it was easier that way. No one would treat you badly, you didn't have to hide who you were, you could be yourself.
You pulled your key out of your jeans pocket and unlocked your apartment. Stepping inside, you set your coat on the small table and walked to the bathroom. After a day like today, all you wanted was to take a long hot bath while listening to some music. You decided it was a good day to listen to music from one of your favorite musicals, Rent. You found the soundtrack disc and inserted it into the player.
Without You began to play, it was your favorite song. You stripped out of you clothes and slipped into the hit soapy water. You gasped as the the hot temperature was warming your skin.
You sighed, closing your eyes. You drifted off, letting all your stress melt away. You jolted awake, the water had run cold. You groaned as you stood up, grabbing the towel off the bar. You wrapped it around your body, and walked to your bedroom, which was located across the livingroom.
As you walked the lights began to flicker, you looked around, mentally cursing the crappy electricity system. You opened your door and walked to the small closet. You pulled out a sports bra and underwear. Slipping them on you then grabbed your plaid sleep pants and a white t-shirt.
After you had gotten dressed, you walked to the kitchen. You looked at the clock, it said 7:45, you must have spent for a good hour. You grabbed a bowl and some cereal. Getting the milk from the fridge, you finished up your bowl of cereal. Sitting down at the table you began to eat, but, half way through your food your home phone rang.
"Hello?" You answered.
"(Y/n)?" It was your ex-best friend.
"Yes."
"Someone is in my house. Please, help. Rick is dead. Oh god- there's so much blood." She said, she sounded scared. "It's coming! (Y/n) ple--" the line went dead. You gulped and then ran to the door, slipping on your cheap, knock off Uggs. You ran out of your apartment and down the hall.
You reached her house, the front door was open. You grabbed a bat (she always kept one by the door). You saw blood on the walls, Rick laid dead with his neck broken, and a knife in his chest. You gulped, walke
d further into the house. You called for your friend, no answer. That's when you found her, in the bathroom. Her head submerged in the toliet. Your best friend was dead.
She was gone.
After that, everything went by in a blur. Cops showed up, you were in a haze. It was like the world was in slow motion, you stood by the mail box. You couldn't breathe.
"Miss?" I man asked, you looked up. His apple gree eyes looked back at you. "I'm with the FBI, we were investing a case when we got called." You looked at him, studying him. He didn't look like he came from the FBI.
"Look, I already told the police." You said. "Get my statement from them." You couldn't go through with another officer. Everything was replaying in your mind. The blood. The smell.
"One question, was there any strange scents?" The other man asked. You looked back at him.
"How did you know?" You asked.
"Lucky guess," the second man said.
"Okay, well goodbye," You said
"At least tell me your name?" Green eyes asked.
"(Y/n) (L/n)," You said. His eues widened as he looked at you.
"May I see your arms?" You looked at him, then showed him your arms. "Dean Winchester." He smiled. You looked at him.
"Yes, it's my soulmate's name." You said, "Now I am going to go. I gave the cops my number and address. If there are any more questions, call me." You said. You walked away.
