Chapter 5

The night wind howled as Twilight twisted and turned in her bed. She was having a wierd dream. About her friends hating her.
Waking up in a cold sweat she panted silently.
Was it a vision or a dream?
Celestia and Luna said that could happen from time to time. But she was confused. Twilight heard a small snap in the corner, looking over she saw pinkie pie's pet alligator gummy trotting over to her gumming on a leash.
"You want to go on a walk?" Twilight said as Gummy nodded. She shrugged. She had nothing better to do. With gummy on a leash, twilight strolled out on the sidewalk. She happened to walk by the stage where the dazzlings were chatting. Twilight walked swiftly hoping they wouldn't notice but she cringed as they called for her.
"How do you know my name?" She asked slowly.
"We just like to meet new people." Adagio said.
"Hey wanna hear our song for the bands?" Aria said casually.
Twilight hesitated. She didn't want to be rude.
"Um ok..." She said.
The Dazzlings hummed a soft tune. Twilight couldn't help but listen. When they were done she applauded graciously.
"So you want to join our band?" Sonata asked.
The Dazzlings edged closer singing.
"I-I will..." Twilight muttered.
Then she shook her head out of her trance.
"Thanks for the offer. But I better go." Twilight ran off with gummy.
They scowled.
"She isn't weak minded." Aria grumbled.
"I have another plan." Adagio sneered.
The next morning they were practicing at sweet apple acres. Twilight's song wasn't exactly...fitting.

"Um, why don't we get to the competition?" Rainbow said.
"Yeah but first some costumes!" Rarity said.
"No Rarity we have to go" said applejack as the girls scrambled to get their equipment.
It was the first round. And the battle was on.
