Natasha's POV
I jolted out of bed, a thin layer of sweat covering my skin. My eyes were stinging, which meant I had been crying.
Another nightmare, I thought. They seemed to have been getting more frequent, which troubled me slightly, since I had been free of them for a good 2 months.
I slowly got out of my bed, and tip toed through the tower, to Clint's room. The door was slightly cracked open, as if he were waiting for me to come, which didn't really surprise me since it was a regular occurrence.
Clint was a light sleeper, so I knew as soon as I stepped into his room he would wake, and he did.
"Nat?" he mumbled,"Another one?" He asked clearly talking about a nightmare.
I nodded.
"Damn, that's like what? Three in a row?" He said, sitting up.
I nodded."C"mere,"he gestured to the bed.
I walked over and sat down staring into his grey-blue eyes.
"Past or present?" He asked.
"Past," I sighed, "again."
"I tell you this all the time, but you never usually take the advice, it helps if you talk about it." He said.
He was right, this was something he told me every time I had a nightmare, but I would only open up 20 percent of the time.
I sighed, giving in, knowing that he was always right," I was back there." I chocked, "It was one of my first few missions, and I had screwed up by letting my victim's daughter survive, but critically injured. When I returned, Ivan was pissed, he decided as punishment to "train" me in a little bit of torture, and-" I broke down right there, in his arms, I couldn't help it, and he understood.
"Tash, your not there anymore, you are your own person, and your not there." He said rubbing my back, "But, do you feel better now that you talked about it, instead of letting it bubble down inside?"
I nodded into his chest, it did feel good that I told him knowing he would never tell anyone, because that as how we operated, we never told each other's secrets.
"Do want to stay?" He asked me.
I nodded again, and laid down on my side, a he then settled next to me, his strong arms arms around me, our breaths even as if we were one, because in sense, we were.
