It was Monday morning, and I was sat quietly eating breakfast with my dad. Like any normal teenager, I was not a big fan of Monday mornings. I mean school was important to me, but I guess I just lacked motivation when it came to the weekend being over. "How's school going Kayleigh?" I looked up from my coffee cup, making eye contact with my dad, for the first time this morning, as he peered over his newspaper awaiting my answer. "Schools fine, I got an A on my history paper last week." He nodded approvingly, as he continued to read his paper. My dad was always so loving, happy and care free when we were young, by we I mean my brothers, sisters and I. Yep I was one of five children, me being the youngest. And it's safe to say I was the daddy's girl, but not anymore. It's like we all grew up and a switch clicked in his head, turning off the affectionate side of him. I finished my breakfast in silence, gathering my things for school, I said goodbye to my dad and made my way to my car.
Pulling in to the parking lot, I grabbed my bag, locked my car and made my way in to the school. Approaching my locker I saw my friends, Melissa and Sam waiting for me. "Morning guys." I said smiling. They both groaned, only giving me half a smile as acknowledgment. "Heavy weekend?" I asked, eyebrows raised. We stood by my locker for a few more minutes, exchanging gossip before going our separate ways to our classes.
I found my seat in the middle of the class, and began to prepare for the teacher to start. Just as I was settled, my worst nightmare walked through the door.
Hey guys, sorry this is quite short. I do intend to make them about longer, I just wanted to get this posted, as it's my first story. Also I wanted to set this story in the US but I'm actually British so I'll try my best, but sorry if I get anything wrong. 😳 Hope you guys enjoy. Will be updating again tonight. X
