Chapter Two

Pit ran up the stairs with his trusty bow and took flight to his next destination. "So where to now Lady Palutena?"

"We are returning to the Reaper Fortress." Palutena said cheerfully.

"WHAT?! Wh-why there?" Pit asked in dismay.

"Alex revived the Great Reaper. It needs to be taken care of so he doesn't abscond with my power. But don't worry! I recruited some help for you!" Palutena said.

"Who?" Pit said glancing around him.

"Down here Pit." An instantly recognizable voice said below Pit.

"Oh. Hey Pittoo!" Dark Pit flew under Pit facing him.

"How many times do I have to tell you. Stop. Calling. Me. Pittoo."
Dark Pit said In annoyance. Pit rolled his eyes with a grin.

"Okay then. How about Ptooey?"

"No."

"Kuro?"

"No."

"Pchoo?"

"No."

Pit and Dark Pit continued going back and forth until they got to the Reaper Fortress. They landed inside.

"Pit, have you noticed something...?" Dark Pit asked.

"Yeah. It's unusually cold. I wish I had a coat." Pit said, oblivious.

"No, you idiot. For one there are no UnderWorld monsters. Two, Palutena and Viridi have been abnormally quiet." Dark Pit said in annoyance.

"Oh... Lady Palutena...? Lady Palutenaaaa?!" Pit called. No answer.

Pit and Dark Pit both jumped at a sudden feminine laughter.

"You're in my domain now. And in my domain there is no hand holding from your little Goddesses." The UnderWorlds ruler said. The two angels whirled around to see the fallen Angel behind them.

"You!" Pit said with a growl.

"Did you like my little lesson, Pit?" Alex said narrowing her eyes with a grin.

"If I said I did I'd be lying." Pit muttered in response.

Alex approached Dark Pit and stared at him and then at Pit. "Woo, this is messing with my head. Either I'm crazier than I thought or there are two Pits standing before me!" She said.

"I'd bet anything it's both." Dark Pit muttered.

"Huh. This one's got a mouth on him." Alex said inspecting Dark Pit's wings.

"H-hey! What are you doing?!" He said whirling back to face her.
"I've never seen another fallen Angel besides me before."

"A... what?" Dark Pit said suddenly feeling tired.

Alex leaned on his shoulder slightly and whispered something in his ear. Pit couldn't move but could only watch what played out before him. Alex stared into Dark Pit's eyes and he simply stared back for a few seconds. He suddenly pushed her away from him and Pit could move again. "Get away from me." He said coldly. "Lets go find that Reaper, Pit..." Dark Pit said dragging Pit along.

"Pittoo...what happened back there?" Pit asked trailing behind his dark counterpart.

"Nothing you need to worry about." Dark Pit answered.

"What did she say to you?"

"I...I don't know...she said something in some strange language I didn't understand. Just don't worry about it. Let's just take care of the Great Reaper so we can leave." Dark Pit said dryly.
