Venomous Cure

Part 3

"The best part of the night is the full moon." Whispered a petit woman.

"That's when you get to see the most stars," She turned her body to face me and she pointed to smallest star. I could barely catch it with the naked eye, but i could see it was a unique kind of star. It was this kind of blood red with specks of blue and gold.

"That star has the most time to live other than the rest of the stars. It has time to learn it's purpose. There's this saying my mother use to always say, it goes live your life by breathing in all the good and exhaling all the bad." She smiled at me and said,

"You are that star, Ebony. Live your life with purpose my love."

I woke up with a start remembering the dream. I feel like I've lived that moment once in my life. That woman showed so much love for me she must of really known me. Jumping out of bed I realized I knew my name. Ebony, my name is Ebony. Was the lady in my memory or dream my mother? What's my last name? What really happened to the rest of the humans? Questions that kept running through my thoughts. Then came the abrupt knocking at my door.

"Miss please open the door." Asked a male voice i recognised as beta Josh.

"You may come in beta Josh." I half whispered. As he made his way in I noticed he was carrying a midnight blue dress.

"What's the occation?" I question.

"Didn't Daniel tell you? There's a royal ball tonight and all the packs are coming." As he laid this information on me I register in my head that i haven't seen myself in the mirror. I didn't remember what i looked like.

"Can i ask you a personal question?" I said.

"Depends on what it is." He said this without taking is eyes off me setting the dress on my bed.

"What do I look like?" I whispered. He stood there for awhile still not taking his eyes off me. He looked deep in thought then he started walking towards me.

"Do you trust me?" He breathed. I just nodded my head. He took my hand and lead my to the bathroom as we walked in he turned and locked the bathroom door. 

"You're the true meaning of beautiful. You're this amazing shade of brown like caramel. You have a head full of bouncy curls. Your eyes bright and full of life. Your lips sinful. If i say anymore I'm a dead man." He said. I was in complete wonder. Why couldn't he be my mate?

"I can't be your mate you have one already, but man i wish." He replied.

"I said that out loud huh." I blushed. He smiled and began to walk away.

"See you at the ball beautiful." He answered. I stood there for awhile staring at myself. I've never felt so beautiful after what Josh had said. He made me feel special. Is that not what I should feel with Daniel? I need to go find him. As i existed my room and down the hall I wondered why Daniel didn't tell me about the ball? I didn't know where i was going, but i just kept going form hallway to hallway. Until i came to a dark secluded room down one of the many halls. Assuming it was Daniel's I knocked.

"Come in." He shouted. My heart began to flutter. Stupid feelings. I turned the door knob only to see a half naked Daniel in the middle of a very large room.

"I just came to talk to you about the ball." I responded shyly. I didn't meet his eyes afraid to get lost and never find my way. He just looked at me as if to say your not good enough to be seen with me.

"Are we going together? I mean you are my mate." I asked. He started to walk to me. He was so close that we were sharing the same air. My hands have gotten really sweaty, my breath quicken, my heart raced out of my chest. 

"The reaction you're feeling is only one sided, and no I will not be seen with nothing but a mere human." He looked at me in disgust.

"Also didn't I tell you to call me prince? Do you really want to die that bad?" He yelled. The feeling of my heart breaking was excruciating. I wanted to scream and yell and cry all at the same time. I felt like the trash beneath people feet. I wasn't going to show him my hurt. I'm going to woman up.

"I apologize, prince." I muttered. I stood there waiting for him to dismiss me. He took his sweet time doing so. He grabbed my chin and pull it up so I was looking at him. I shivered at his touch and in response he smirked.

"The ball starts in an hour. You can leave now" He said. I left as fast as my legs could go. I hate him, I hate him, I hate him. When i finally reached my room i closed the door and collapsed on the floor. I sobbed my heart out. When I couldn't sob anymore I looked at the time. I had twenty minutes to get dressed. Thinking through about everything that happened today I remebered my mothers words. Breath in all the good and exhale all the bad. That was the answer to all my problems to change Daniel. He will be mine I won't give up even if he's a butt a very hot butt.
