Jace was a few steps ahead of me, I was following be hide him. We got to his car and he opened the passengers door for me, I blushed and felt this normal warm feeling I always have around Jace and how I missed him over the past three days, they felt like years. We drove for like an hour and the whole way was silent, I snuck peaks and the angel sitting next to me but he seemed to be having a fight with himself.
We made a quick turn and now the road was gone it was just dirt . I remember this, the tall long trees with a peaceful feeling reminded me of Jace and how I get that peaceful feeling around him like I will no matter what be safe as long as he is here. Is he going to break up with me here? I felt my stomach drop just by thinking it. He quickly got out and opened the door for me to get out, he held my hand and our fingers intertwined . Now I could see clearer from the last time I was here, it was when Jace got that phone call from his father and we had to leave rushing to Jace's house. Everything was like the woods, no road, no phone service, and no one around. We lead me to a trail that went up a hill that was steep. My the time we go to the top of the hill my legs were burning from the walk up, I turned to see Jace and he was actually smiling now. When I turn from Jace I see what he is smiling about. The sight from up here is too beautiful, it was mesmerizing .
I could see the whole city from up here, all the cars in the freeway to the hospital on the other side of town! I see all the houses that look small from this view. I can't believe I've never been here its so amazing it's like something that happens once in a life time, and because Jace showed it to me made it a hundred times better.
I stared at the view for a couple more minutes, taking it all in it honestly left me breathless.
"Do you like it?" he asked and I could hear some enthusiasm in the words
"It's so beautiful." I whispered and turned to look at him in the eyes.
"I knew you would like it, its my favourite place in the world." he said as he walked away into the woods.
"Jace? where are you going?
No answer. I began to follow him but he was already back with a blanket?
"Where did you get the blanket?" I asked him.
" I use to come here all the time so a couple years ago I made a little storage." He pointed be hide him. I leaned in closer to see how it looked. I caught a glimpse of a tall about 6 foot room. It could be the size of a normal bathroom impressive.
Jace took my hand in his and lead me to a better view of the city. He let go and extented the blanket which layed on. We held hands as we stared at the view for a couple hours.
He turned to face me and I could see he was nervous, I felt nervous as well at the sudden urge to talk.
"Anabelle I'm sorry I've been avoiding you but the pass three days have been really hard, and I dont want you to think that I don't care about you because its not that.You've always been here for me and never gave up on me. When ever I'm with you I feel safe and comforted but,"
oh no this is where he says he just wants to be friends.... I don't want to lose him but I can't do anything.He held my cold hand between both of his warm hands.
"But, I've never told you how I feel about you and I'm telling you right now. Anabelle..... I love you." his blue eyes were so sincere that I was shocked. I wasn't expecting that at all ... I was expecting the opposite actually . He just said it, he just said he loves me. I feel tears run down my eyes and an Wave of emotions take over me but one was the most power full... love.
"Jace, I love you too." I said barely believing that I just told him that i love him but It was how i felt. His eyes went wide joy and disbelieve he hugged me so tight but I hugged him back even tighter,
" Please, just don't leave me again." I whispered into his ear.
"I won't."
I had to make sure he wasn't just saying that ,not that i didn't believe him but I need reassurance.
"Promise?"
He faced me and I saw him irresistible blue eyes, " I promise."
He got up and helped me up also ,but I still saw that the nervousness wasn't gone.I waiting for him to lead us back but he stood the with our eyes locked. I tried to decipher his emotions but there was too many but one that stood out more, fear?
Our faces were inches apart which didn't help me think at all. "Now that I know you love me." Jace's voice was shaky which scared me because he was always confident and cocky but now he looked so vulnerable. I litterly felt the breath being knocked out of me when he slowly got down on hisright knee with my left hand in his. My heart was beating so fast I could have died right there. Was he...? What is happening? This can't be?
"Anabelle Bonsic, I want to dedicate my whole life to you... and to make you happy. And if I get to wake up every morning to see you, I that will be my reward. I want to see our children running around the house making our lives crazy, I want you and the whole family/marragie package. I love you and don't want to waste anytime alone that I could be spending with you. You are my forever.
Will you marry me?"
He took out a light blue box that had a tiffany's bow on top. He opened it and I saw it. The most beautiful ring, it was white gold with a big diamond that shune like a million stars. It was traditional looking but the diamond was really big.
It was happening again, when his eyes are shining with hope that I couldn't bare to even think about killing. I do love him. I do want to marry him, and I do want to see our children running around our house ten years from now. I want him, I want it all.
" I will."
His eyes practically poped out. He smiled and smile that I swear came from one ear to another.
I felt the cold heavy ring slid on my finger, I took a glance and saw how perfect it looked even though the diamond was really big, it looks and feels like it belongs there, perfect fit.
Suddenly I'm not on my feet anymore. I was straddled on Jace who was bleaming rainbows through his eyes. I giggled and kissed him running my hands through his hair but decided only to do it with my right hand since the diamond got stuck in his hair.
He put me down on the floor but his arms wrapped around my waist , facing him.
"I feel like the luckiest, and happiest man on earth." he said as he kissed my lips slowly.
"I feel the same way , love." As soon as the word love got out of my mouth Jace's eyes got full of joy.
" I love you alot." he whispers into my hair now hugging me tightly.
" I love you too."
We stood there in our own little world forgetting every one, Everything is perfect right now.
