It's been about almost three years since I've turned sixteen. Three years. That is exactly when you're supposed to find your mate, on your sixteenth birthday.
three years back
"You're going to find your mate today!" My mom exclaimed hugging me tightly. My dad rolled his eyes at my mom.
"He better not do anything until marriage." He grumbled, looking outside the window. A small smile was on his face though. He knew I've been looking forward to this moment ever since I learned about mates.
Someone who was made for you, and loved you unconditionally? Who wouldn't want that?
-10 hours later-
The day was coming to an end, and I haven't found him yet. I sat inside my bed with Ethan rubbing my back while I cried. Usually if you don't find them, they have already died. "It's okay Lee." He mumbled lowly.
"He's dead." I whispered. Mourning my unknown mate. Ethan lied down next to me and wrapped his arm around my waist.
"It'll be okay, I'm always here for you." He sighed. I closed my eyes, and let sleep overcome me.
-
It was ten o'clock at night, and I was at a tattoo parlor with Ethan. I was getting my first tattoo done, right under my breasts.
Ethan smiled over at me, and I gave him a nervous smile back. "I'm so nervous." I mumbled intertwining out fingers together. "It'll be alright babe, I love you." He grinned, brushing a loose strand of hair out of my face.
"Also when you bit me last night, it's still kind of throbbing." I grumbled. My neck had a large bite mark from last night, he was running low on energy. I was the nearest blood source. Of course I was okay with it. I had quite a few wounds healing still there. For some reason, it's harder for werewolves to heal in the specific area that he did. My wolf is probably confused, considering that's a place a mate would mark you.
"I'm sorry." He frowned, leaning his head against mine. "You're just so delicious." He mumbled lowly, and instantly his lips were on mine, our lips moved in sync as my arms quickly snaked around his neck. His lips were cold, while mine were warm.
"You do know we're in public right?" I breathed, a small blush over taking my cheeks. The poor guys here just witnessed me attack Ethan's mouth.
"Aleia Love?" A man walked out and looked on a clipboard full of names. My head perked up instantly, "That's me?" I said quickly, slightly bouncing on Ethan's lap out of excitement.
"You're up girl." He smiled over at me.Ethan quickly mumbled something under his breath about a tent. I hopped off instantly and skipped into the tattoo parlors room. A powerful scent hit me, mixed with sweat, the smell of rain, and pine. "It smells nice in here." I commented, smiling at the man.
He looked at me weirdly, his grey hair was slicked back with a really shiny gel that was tied back with a bandana. "Hm, It smells like rubbing alcohol to me. I need more candles." He mumbled. Ethan walked in the room with a grin on his face as I was getting in the chair.
"You ready to get tatted up?" He asked with a small smirk. I was about to reply but I kept getting distracted, the smell was getting stronger and stronger. "Yeah." I mumbled quietly. He laughed and pecked my lips before sitting down.
The tattoo buzzer started going off after he looked over my design. I wasn't really feeling anything, my mind was focused on one thing. My wolf was going crazy, but she isn't communication as to why she seems so hectic.
