Chapter 3

I wait for all the buses to clear and I search the bleachers for Matthew. Then I see his twinkling eyes that catch my attention. I walk up to him and say, "Hey Matthew. You wanted to talk to me?" he replied, "Yeah, thanks for coming. I need some advice and I don't know what to do about this girl I like."

My body just goes through a whirpool of emotions.

Happy: WHAT IF IT'S ME?!?

Sad: What if I'm setting him up with another girl?

Anxious: What if he asks me out! What would I say?

I finally realize we've been standing there for 3 minutes now.

"Oh..um so who is this girl?" I ask.

"I know she doesn't like me back..though." He replied.

" Just come on. I can't help you if you don't tell me!"

"Alright but if anyone asks, you asked for it."

I was confused on what he meant by this but then BAM!

He kisses me!!

ON THE LIPS!!!

This is the moment of my life. I've dreamed of this since 2nd grade.

As I am inflated with joy in the back of my head, I think about my parents. Forget them for now.

He says, " Emily, will you make me extremely happy and go out with me?"

"YES!!" I squeal. I give him a huge hug and feel like I'm on Cloud 21.

He gave me his number and told me to call him later. He gave me a kiss on the cheek and walked away. I think about everything I'm feeling right now. Then that nuisance in the back of my head (AKA) my parents comes back. This time it won't go away. I have a boyfriend who is the total package. This is exactly what happened to my sister. Am I on the path to drugs, alcohol, and rehab?
