Perfect is The Expectation

Chapter 4

I arrive home pretty late and of course my parents interrogate me on where I have been. Luckily I have my story memorized and ready to go. Here we go:

Where were you?

Library.

With Who?

Emily

Why didn't you tell us?

We have a project due tomorrow and she couldn't go any later.

Go to your room and get ready for bed.

Yes Ma. Yes Pa.

PHEW! Dodged a bullet there. I even had my friend Emily on speed dial to confirm the story just in case. Maybe hiding this from my parents won't be as hard as I thought. I go up to my room and lock the door just to make sure nobody barges in. If someone asks why it's locked I'll simply say, "I'm changing!" I got on my phone and saved Matthew's contact and made sure to put a whole bunch of heart emoji's next to his name. Then I started texting him and let me just say, my parents would not be happy to see these texts. I left my phone to charge in my room and headed off to take a shower.

MOM'S POV

I walk upstairs and look in my sweet angel's room. I see her phone buzzing. Oh she's getting a call. It's probably Emily, I should say hello. I look at the phone and see the name "Matthew" with hearts and kissy faces next to it. I called at my husband, "HONEY COME HERE YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT THIS." He hurries up the stairs and I show him the phone and the contact name. "Who could this be?" He asks. "I don't know." I say, "Maybe we should see if she's been texting this Matthew guy." I open up the messages app and I see text messages from Matthew. I scroll all the way to the top.

M: I'm so glad you said yes!

C:I've liked you since the second grade what else would I say?

M: You're really hot by the way.

C:Your super hot too. One day I'd like to see you with your shirt off.

M:Whatever you want baby. Check your DM.

C:Omg your abs are so HOT!!!!

M: Why thank you.

C:lol no prob.

M: And now I get a picture of you without your top.

C:I didn't promise to that.

M:Please. It's fair.

C:Alright Fine, Check your DM.

M:OH MY GOD. DAMN GIRL YOU'RE SEXY

C: stfu😂 you're embarrassing

M: I love you.

C:I love you too. I gtg take a shower take a shower. ttyl.

M: Alright babe.

We were in shock. What type of monster has my daughter turned into? What's a DM? Who's Matthew? What does S T F U stand for?

EMILY'S POV

I walked into my room and saw my parents with a dissapointed look on their faces. Then my mom says "Who's Matthew?"

Lol sorry for the cliffhanger and the short chapter. I want to make a really long one to make up for this one and my last one.
