Third Person POV
Her father starts with,"You know I was a prince." She nods her head. "Well most princes have a promised. This is the person that you're are promised to marry since birth. My promised was a girl named Florence. She was not bad looking, and we were the same age, but she was very clingy and jealous. Every time I went out of the castle, she always demanded to know where, when, and if she could come. If I didn't answer her, she became angry and almost hit me. But my personal guard was always there, so she didn't dare. But I knew that when we were married my guard wouldn't always be there, so I was easy prey. One day, I went out of the kingdom and into the forest, alone. That's where I met your mother. We began to talk, and I realized I liked her. We arranged for a time to meet again. These meetings became closer and closer together, that they were almost daily. This had gone on for a month, and Florence grew suspicious, so she followed me one day. She followed me into the forest and to the meadow where I met your mother. She watched as we conversed, and then saw as we came closer and closer together. We reached each other, and I kissed her. This is when Florence became fed up. She popped out of the trees and screamed at us, 'You will pay for this!' she then turned to me and said, 'Why? What have I done to deserve this? Don't you love me?' You see, Florence was madly in love with me. She would do anything to have me love her back. I said to her, 'I don't love you.' She asked, 'Why? Why don't you love me?' She was close to tears. I told her, 'I just don't! You just aren't the one for me. You don't love me. I don't love you. There is no more say in the matter.' She retorted with this, and she was growing angry, 'Of course I love you! You are my promised!' 'Being my promised doesn't explain anything!' I yelled at her 'And you don't love me, you are obsessed with me!' I had realized I said too much. She looked at me with tears falling down her face and ran off. I never saw her again. Your mother and I kept meeting in secret. One day, a few months after that incident happened, your mom came to me. She looked like she had been crying. 'What's wrong?' I asked her. 'I'm pregnant,' she whispered. My eyes widened, astounded. 'We have to leave then!' I tell her. 'This is no place for a child of both kingdoms. She will be hunted, either for her power, or for ransom. We need to go to the OtherWorld.' That is when we left our world and came to this one."
