AN: This is not a happy poem. All other entries are sweet so this would somehow be a negation. 

Well, love ain't always lovely...

I loved you too soon

You fell... a little too late

Love forgot to wait.

Same old missed chances

Shared under the weeping moon

Our shadows breaking.

Should I blame my heart?

The way you've been blaming yours?

I don't want to know.

Fate held us captives;

Time's verdict: We don't belong.

"Sorry... I should go."

Sobbing hearts echo

We stand facing each other

Silent, hurting, lost.

Should I say something?

Should I beg for you to stay?

I'm too hurt to think.

You gave me a kiss

A light and very quick one

Signalling goodbye.

I'm still holding on...

Pride all thrown out to the bin.

"I love you. Please stay."
