A/N

This is covering what Michael was doing when his mate left. So it will be jumping events from day to days.

Michael's POV

I was in my office going through the list of my employees. I was looking at their age and type of work they do in my company. Many of them were old and the type of work they were doing wasn't suitable for their age.

I knew they were werewolves but I still didn't want that to determine how long one was supposed to still be working. My company was growing each year which meant more employees were needed. I paid each and every one according to what they did in my company. I didn't take advantage of them because they were people in my pack; I played fair and was never corrupted, so that was why my company and pack was strong.

I sighed and dropped the files on my desk. Thoughts of my mate started to fill up in my mind and I couldn't work anymore. I missed my angel and I couldn't wait to have him back in my arms. It's been five days since they left but it felt like years have passed. It was truly frustrating and I hated every moment of it. Just then, my phone vibrated in my pocket and the song Angel by Lionel Rich started playing. I hastily took it out because I knew, if it wasn't already obvious with the tone, that my angel was calling me. I frowned when I realized he was calling when I was in the office. He never does that because he doesn't like 'disturbing' me. Unless.....

"Hello, is everything okay angel? Are you hurt?"

"Ha! Breathe, will you. I'm fine and healthy like a horse if that's what you're wondering." He answered and I smiled. I definitely missed him.

"It's alright if you say so." I smiled, picturing him in here with me. "But why the afternoon calls dear?"

"What? I'm not supposed to?"

"That's not what I meant, angel. It's just that you don't usually call in the afternoon."

"Oh, okay. Well, I just had this urge to talk to you, so I called. What's up?" He asked and I smiled.

I liked that about Cad. He was always ready to help me out. So I told him how I planned to have a pack meeting in three days coming. We were to discuss about work and warrior training. I also told him about how an omega requested that I let them work in the company. It's for their safety that I didn't want them working and not that I was biased.

"Why not? I think you should let them work in your company, honey."

"No way! It's dangerous to work on construction. I don't want them to get hurt; it's for the best angel." I reasoned.

"How about this...." And so he explained to me what he had in mind. He suggested I introduce another department apart from construction. He thought I should have a designing department where he will manage that part and work with the omegas. I thought it was a good idea and might as well decide on working on it. We talked a lot more then ended the call.

I really thought my mate's idea might work out. The omegas would have to work and learn from Cad about designing. In that way, when we work on different buildings, my mate and his team will be designing. It was killing two birds with one stone and I liked it. A knock sounded on the door and I told them to come in. Alec walked in with his head down.

"Um, Alpha sir," he looked up at me and I nodded then he looked down again. "There is a client on line two, he is complaining on what the constructors working on his building are doing." He explained and he didn't have to say the name for me to know who it was. There is one person who liked to complain all the time.
