When I woke up, Jack wasn't by my side. I wasn't surprised, I had told him to stay until I fell asleep; that was the deal, so I understood.

I climbed out of the bed, and realized I was still in Jacks T-Shirt. If he gave it to me, he must not mind me wearing it around his house.

I stepped out of the room, and made my way to kitchen where Jack was stirring something in a pan on the stove.

   He turned around, "hey sleepyhead."

His eyes gave me a once over before meeting my eyes and realizing I noticed.

"Sorry...you want some eggs?" He offered.

"Yeah, that sounds good," I responded slowly.

Was he trying to make it seem like he didn't sleep next to me last night? I mean it's not a big deal, I'm sure a lot of girls who have guy friends have sleepovers all the time.

I sat down at the island on a spinning stool, but with my mood I wasn't acting all fun and games, and I couldn't understand why. Maybe it was because I made a conclusion last night. Jack has no interest in me, and will never despite anytime he'll give me a once over.

He set a plate full of food in front of me, and i began eating. silently.

"Can you drive me back to my house when im done...Jack?"

He turned around once more, "why?"

"I need to change," I enlighten him.

"You don't like my clothes?" Jack joked.

I froze, "you're clothes are comfy. I just need to change though, it's weird," I tried to save myself.

He gave me a smirk, and raised his eyebrows. He had so many mixed signals, it was hard to keep track, even if it that smirk was because of my response.

I looked away while finishing my eggs, and when I was done, I set it in the sink.

"You can stay as many nights as you want, Lacey," he said, coming close.

I stepped away, "thank you, I don't think I want to be there right now."

   "Care to share?" He asked.

"No," I hissed surprisingly, "I'm not comfortable sharing."

"I'll be back and ready to go in a few minutes," I promised.

   "Okay," Jack said slowly.

I briskly walked away, surprised by myself at the tone I accidentally used on him. I felt bad, but I'm sure he understood it was something not available for him to know.
