*AMBER'S POV

Oh god he wasn't breathing, and nether was thought gasping for air. I checked again and found a pulse. That's good I thought. But how could I? I had hit a great guy with my car.

I screamed for help but no one was around! Why the hell is no one here I thought.

I quickly pulled out my phone and called for an ambulance, waiting by Zayn until it came. When it arrived they took him in the back and drove him to the nearest hospital.

I got in my car which had no damage from the impact and drove down to the hospital.

When I got there I parked and ran to the front desk. "Hello," I said out of breath, "I'm here to see Zayn Malik."

She looked at her computer for a bit before she looked up at me saying, "he's about to go into surgery, only family can see him at this point. Are you related to him?"

"I'm his cousin!" I lied.

"Room 312, down that hall on the right," he said as she pointed down a long hallway.

"Thanks," I said running down the hallway.

The hall seemed to go on for forever, it felt like I had been running for forever. I didn't care, I felt horrible, and if he died I don't think I could live with myself.

Finally I saw room 312 and rushed through the door. "Amber," he pauses looking confused, "what are you doing here?"

I could tell he was in pain and decided to tell him the truth. "I was sorta the one who hit you."

He looked confused then closed his eyes. I was gonna go see if he could still hear me when a nurse came in telling me visiting hours had ended, and Zayn had to be prepped for surgery.

"Surgery!" I yelled

"Yes, and if all works he will get back to his normal life."

"If all works! You mean he could, god he could die!' I cried falling to my knees in guilt

"No miss," she said calmly, "but I'd he doesn't get this surgery he might." With that she rolled him out of the room, leaving me in tears on the floor.

I sat there for a second when she opened the door again saying, "oh yah and your gonna have to come up with $4000 for the surgery, his insurance ran out before the accident."
