The bright sun made its way up into the sky. The fort is immediately covered in orange. The sky is clear and beautiful, but not Diana's type of beautiful. Her type of beautiful is a cloudy sky and it is raining ever so slightly. Her typical beautiful is gray with the rythmitic sound of rain on the roof. She loves the wind and the clouds more than the sun. Diana smiled to herself when she told her friend Jace that he pretty much said she was a lunatic and she needed to go to a mental institute. Diana floated in the air for a long time hearing the soft whoosh of her wings as she brought them down. One of her favorite reasons for having wings was that the day she got them she was showed a picture of her mother with her wings. She was beautiful with carmal hair to her waist. She had green eyes that sparkled even in the picture. She loved that picture it was one of her few pictures. When she stopped thinking about this she turned and saw a group of Maldines flying towards her. Maldines the annoying bird that hung around there kingdom. They had a Tweety sound and they loved to sing. Seeing them always reminded her of Sawyer her pet Maldine. She could still remember the day she got him.
Flashback
Diana and her mom sat outside in the garden staring at the stars. Diana couldn't fall asleep so her mother took her outside to watch the stars. For a while she said nothing but finally she asked " will you tell me a story."
"O a story okay let me tell you a story."
Diana closed her eyes she loved her mothers stories. " Well this is one of the few true stories my dear this is the one about the maldine the mysterious bird. It has always been told that to look into a maldines eyes will fortale the future, but no one has ever tried. One man did and he never came back and since then no one has tried."
Diana fell asleep soon after the story was finished. The next day she asked her father to get her a pet Maldine he did and as soon as they got him in the cage she looked in his eye. His eyes were snowy blue with white specks they seemed to swirl until she was in a hypnotic state. She saw fire erupting the yell of war and dead bodies everywhere. Then out of the fire rose a kingdom made from the clouds of heaven them selves. Then she was back home staring at Sawyer and he was singing not the cheerful songs but one of low pitch one that made her cry and ball until they grabbed the cage and took him away and that was the last time she saw Sawyer.
