It was a rainy day in London and Dan Howell was walking to his apartment. The apartment that he shared with his best friend Phil Lester.
Dan continued on walking for a while until he got bored and took out his phone and opened Twitter. He scrolled along twitter until he saw something that caught his eye it was some more of what there fans and fellow phan shippers called "phan art" apparently.
Dan thought "how could people want us to be a couple were just friends right? I mean i love Phil a lot but us together?". Dan didn't know why he acted like he hadn't thought about this before because he had multiple times in the dark in his room in bed alone...
But the only reason why he hadn't expressed his feelings to Phil was he was afraid, afraid of rejection, afraid of Phil not loving him back, afraid of his fans, afraid of Phil leaving him.
He built a wall to protect himself and his feelings from Phil but Phil just knocked it down without even trying. Just one look from Phil and he melted.
His smile his laugh his everything the way his cheeks did that thing when he smiled. "oh god" he thought scolding himself for thinking that way but he couldn't help but smile foolishly at his own love sickness.
He looked up he was at the door to there apartment building he walked swiftly purposely avoiding any eye contact whatsoever with anyone. As he approached the elevator he couldn't help but feel a wave of excitement wash over him.
i'm going to see Phil! he screamed in his head he absolutely couldn't wait.
Once he got there he yelled " Phil i'm home!!" when he didn't hear a response he got worried "Phil!?!". He went into Phil's room and sat on his bed whispering " i wish i could lay here with you every night if only you knew"
all of a sudden Phil jumps out from behind the bed in his lion onesie tackling Dan screaming " RAWR I'M A LION" and as phil was on top of him he knew he wanted to be able to feel this for a long time
this is when he decided to tell Phil the truth
