Rescued me? I don't think so. I think to myself.
"What are you talking about?" I ask
"Just follow me, i'll explain everything." The boy says.
"I'm not going anywhere with you. If you want me to come anywhere you'll have to make me. I don't even know your name."I reply. My feet planted firmly on the floor.
"Ok fine. You want my name? Noah there you go. Now come with me or I won't be able to explain anything at all."
I groan. "Fine."
He leads me out the door and into a hallway, again, the whole hallway is white. These people must really like that color.
People? What people? Why am I thinking that there's other people? It could just be this psycho dude in here. I find myself thinking.
We walk across about a million more white hallways, passing about a million more doors on the way until Noah finally stops in front of one of the doors.
"Ah. Here we are.'' He says.
Where? I think.
He puts a card in the slot and the door clicks and then unlocks. He opens it, revealing a huge room full of teenagers.
"You're the person that's been kidnapping teenagers! Who the hell do you think you are?" I demand loudly.
The whole room full of 'em. Boys, girls, all around my age. There's about 400 in the huge room. The room resembles a gymnasium, like at my school.
"Shh. Go in that room, there should be a man in there. Go to him. He'll explain everything." Noah tells me.
"What? No. I'm not going in there-"
He shoves me in through the door and walks out, locking the door.
"UGH!" I yell.
Nobody seems to notice. I sigh and walk towards the teenagers. They all look upset or sad, sitting on the floor or just standing and sulking. I make my way towards a man in the middle of the room-the only man. I approach him and stop in front of him. He has a brown hair with some grey hairs, and a short beard. He looks tired and worn out.
Well that what happens when you go around kidnapping kids. You get tired. I think.
"Hi. I would like to know where I am and why I'm not at home. I would also like to know who you people are." I say pleasantly.
I'm not being nice. I'm being sarcastic.
The man pulls out a long scroll and scans it.
"You must be........Miss Sierra." The man says.
"How do you know my name?"
"I know everybody in this rooms name. It's all on this scroll. I'm Jason Quincy by the way." The man replies.
He holds out his hand to me, expecting me to shake it. I don't.
"Follow me Sierra." He says.
I follow him into another room- a small office. I wonder what I am in-a train, a boat, a house? We both sit down in two identical chairs.
"Sierra. As you may be aware of, the Earth is becoming more and more populated. Soon, in maybe 10 years, the Earth will be in no good condition to live in." He continues. "Anyway, me and a lot of other scientists and people have designed a spaceship. It can run forever. It will never run out of gas or anything. It is close to indestructible. It took multiple decades to design it, my father and grandfather were working on it. And they passed the job down to me when each of them passed away. The space ship is finished now. And you are on it."
I gasp.
"The other scientists and I have been planning to take some of the worlds children on the spaceship. We can't take the adults, or all of the children and teenagers. Just some. So we took some of them from schools, from orphanages. We put them on the spaceships. And we plan to orbit around space, and look for a planet we can repopulate on. We might be able to go back for more people, but it is hard to tell." Jason explains.
''Why didn't you tell the government about any of this?' I ask.
"They would of made us wait until we could take everybody."
"So you think you can just take us from our families? Steal us? I want to GO HOME!" I yell at him.
"You can't, we're about to take off, for the past few hours we've just been testing it. We're going to take off for real now."
"Well STOP it!"
"I can't. We should be taking off any minute now."
As if on cue, the ship starts rumbling. We both fall on the ground.
"Hold on to something!" Jason yells.
So I grab onto the chair to steady myself. After a few minutes, the rumbling stops, the room looks destroyed. Angry and upset, I storm out of the room and into the gymnasium looking room. I sit down next to a girl with red hair and start to cry.
"I take it you just found out you'll never see you family again?" The girl asks.
I nod.
"It was a shock for me too. I cried for 2 hours. I'll miss my family. I just want to kill whoever put us on here. They can't just take my whole life away like that! It's horrible." The girl continues. "I'm Sasha, but I go by Grace. Whats your name? I really love your the color of your hair! It's so dark and silky."
How does 'Sasha' sound anything like 'Grace?' I wonder.
"I'm Sierra." I reply. "And thanks. I used a lot of shampoo on my hair yesterday."
Why are we talking about hair when i'll never see my family ever? I think.
"Oh. Sierra is a pretty name. I like it. We should totally be friends, I mean, since all my other friends will probably be dead in a few years if the world gets over populated." Graces says.
She thinks about it for a while and her smile fades, she starts to cry. We sit there for a little while, and after about an hour, a squeaking sound penetrates the air.
"Hello! This is Jorge Benjamin, the captain of this ship and we have just taken off! You will all be assigned to rooms shortly, I advise you to line up against the wall, and you will be given a room number." A man says over a loud speaker.
I stand up and sigh. I start to make my way to the wall to be assigned a room to live in for who knows how long.
