DIAMOND OF SNOW

48 6 2

Shimmers of light dance, cascading down from the sky
Like angel dust, snowflakes sparkle as they touch the ground below
Crocheting a shiny blanket that resembles frozen stars gathered from up high
To blend in magically within the diamonds in the snow.

Like frozen stars that somehow touched the earth,
A carpet of white is weaved of shimmer and glow,
Perhaps to celebrate the coming of a winter's birth,
A new season discovered from the diamonds in the snow.

Tomorrow the blanket will rest its long lasting veil,
Upon winter's frozen ground, protecting the fragile seeds of time,
So when the chill finally breaks, spring will come to prevail,
To blossom from the reflections of diamonds the snow left. behind.
