"Aunt Mel, where should these orders go?" I ask her as I tick the orders that have been packed so far.

I've been helping aunt Mel from morning. The florist shop seems to be crowded most of the day.

"Lisa, be a dear and watch the shop while I go get some supplies." She tells me before she leaves.

"Ok aunt Mel!" I call after her and drink some water and sit down for sometime.

I've been walking and standing all day. Woah! This job is tiring.

"Lisa?" I look up to the person of that voice and its Robert holding the hands of an elderly lady.

"Robert!" I get up from my seat and walk towards them.

"Robert, vous savez cette jeune femme? La beauté est-Elle?" His grandmother tells him something in French and she seems to be all smiles.

"Oh I'm sorry Lisa. She says you look very beautiful."

"Oh gee! Tell her I said thanks. I mean, merci ma'am." I smile at her.

"Est- Elle aussi de londres? Est-Elle votre petite amie citrouille? Acheter des fleurs pour elle et lui demander de venir dîner avec nous. Vous ne dit jamais rien de cette veille dame plus. Je suis en colère contre vous petit-fils."

She says something to Robert and he seems to be embarrassed by what she's saying. I did learn French for a semester but not enough to understand her.

Robert seems to speak good French too. English and French, what a guy!

I stand there awkwardly and watch them chuckling and his grandma pinches his cheeks. Now, that's a sight to behold.

"Sorry Lisa! My grandma invited you for dinner today! If it's okay with you. You don't have to come if you don't want to." He says rubbing the back of his neck.

What a cute gesture? The guy can look cute too.

"Umm..okay I would love to." I tell him and he smiles and they get their usual order and leave. He promised to come pick me up too.

"Okay mom! We're fine! Gregory and Nelson are out. I'll tell them when they come. Yes, we do help aunt Mel with the dishes."

I nod to everything my mom says.

"Take care mom and tell dad I love him too. Bye mom! Stop worrying." I cut the call after a quick bye because knowing my mom, she'll go on and on and on.

I hear aunt Mel call my name. I get out of bed and go out to see Robert sitting on the sofa.

"This young man is here for you Lisa. You know him?"

"Yes aunt Mel! He's Robert, my friend. Aunt Mel, can I go for dinner with him?" I ask her softly and she nods with a cheeky smile.

I take that as a yes and leave with him.

"Im sorry, I came early. We have to stop by the super market for some supplies, if it's okay?" He tells, walking beside me.

"Sure! You know your grandma seems nice. Nothing like you."

"Thanks for the compliment! she's a little talkative."

"Robert? You're English and she's French? How is that so? I know that's personal but you don't have to answer."

He smiles and says,"my grandfather fell in love with her during his vacation with his family. They had one of those things called,"summer love" but then he moved back to England. He realized he loved her only after going back home. He fought with his family and left home and came here, married grandma and had dad and ever since then, they've been here. Except when my dad moved back to London. My grandfather died six months ago because of an heart attack. My grandmother is alone but she has the families in the neighborhood who take good care of her."

"Why doesn't she move back to London?" He turns and looks at me surprised.

"Sorry, I'm just curious." I sigh.

He laughs at my expression.

"You're cute in a way."

"In a way? Excuse me? Cute is for middle school girls." I whine.

"You're not hot babe, if that's what you want to hear."

"Arrogant ass" I tell myself but he turns my side and gives a questioning look.

I just brush it off.

"She loves this place. She's never left France before. " he tells after some silence.

I don't say anything and we enter the supermarket.

He walks before me and doesn't even hold the door for me. I meet with a hard door and fall on my bottom. A Middle Aged guy came to my rescue and helped me up.

"Is it just me or you're always this stupid?" I throw my hands in the air and walk past him.

"What can I do if you're stupid and blind." He says in a mocking manner.

"Ever heard of chivalry?" I ask him angrily.

"We, British boys invented that word."
He says proudly and starts filling the basket.

"Full of yourself, are we?Spell chivalry for me first."

"Chivalry is for the ladies, not third world creatures like you."

"You sound like a perv to me. And you talk about chivalry." I break into fits of laughter, seeing the look on his adorable face after I called him a perv.

"Atleast I'm into humans. I heard You raped a dog?" He says the last part louder than he should, earning us a few glances from the crowd and I cover my face in embarrassment.

"Available for who? I thought you had that disease remember? You poor thing, suffering from memory loss now." I shout that just as he tries to flirt with the girl at the cash counter.

That girl jerks away in disgust and he turns to me, giving me stony glares.

"That's it Campbell! Start running." That's all I hear because I've started to run already.
